I'm really getting scared now. Being behind GL (nothing against the show) in total viewers is not a good sign. What do you think AMC needs to change? Exec Producer or Head Writer? I know some dont like McTavish's work, but she is proven. I dont think JFP has ever had a show with great acclaim or ratings. I think AMC should try to woo Felecia Behr back.

This GL fan was stunned when AMC rehired Megan McTerrible for the third time.

GL's real ratings slide got its rolling start during McTavish's run, in my mind (1995-1996). It is the only time in the 23 years I've been watching GL that I considered tuning out...the show had become a mess, almost too painful to watch. McTavish's problem is simple...viewers see it, but network execs are apparently oblivious. She comes up with the story first, and then finds a way to cram characters into it, regardless of whether it makes sense or not. The best soap stories are written for the characters....the characters and their histories are not rewritten for the stories.

To this day I regret that Michael Zaslow's last major storyline as Roger was written by McTavish. And it was simply dreadful.
