Somebody better call a doctor, STAT! Noah Newman from "The Young and the Restless" has caught an acute case of SORAS -- that mysterious TV condition otherwise known as Soap Opera Rapid Aging Syndrome.

Last played by 12-year-old actor Hunter Allan, Noah was sent off to summer camp on June 9. Looks like that was the official end of his childhood ...

When Noah returns to Genoa City on August 13, Nick and Sharon's son will be played by Kevin Schmidt. Who's about to turn 20. LOL! What could that camp be putting in the juice boxes at their canteen, we wonder?

Kevin is best known for playing one of the Baker kids in "Cheaper by the Dozen" and "Cheaper by the Dozen 2," which co-starred Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, Hilary Duff, and Tom Welling from "Smallville."

Hunter was so terrific. I really feel this is a travesty.

Nick and Sharon will soon be the same age as Phyllis...and Daniel and Noah will be vying for the same girls...I mean WOMEN!!!

I don't understand why they had to SOARS the character. Now they have to SOARS Abby since it wouldn't look right to have Noah this much older than her.

Ahhh...but if Ashley comes home in early December (which would time to 13 weeks before the end of her 24 month contract cycle at B&B), with a pubescent girl...Victor will be ready for new love, and a rebellious teen daughter could be GREAT fun.

I'm thinking Ash and Abby, home for good for Christmas, this year.

They should've let Hunter Allan grow up on the show like Camryn Grimes did...

I think so too. This throws the timeline off badly. I know it's a common thing on soaps, but in this case it seems so unnecessary.

why should Nick and Sharon's kids get special treatment??? oh that's right we can't have Nick and Sharon getting old can we ...

Let's not pass judgement on the guy before he's even appeared on the show. He might be a good actor. It's not his fault if he doesn't look like JM or SC.

Who said anything about special treatment?

It would be nice to have one kid grow up on a soap(ie. Kimberly McCullough, Kristen Alderson, etc.....)
