That's what I was thinking. They salivated at being able to ruin another legacy character. And what pisses me off the most is that my pipe dream for Scott to return (moreso to see the absolutely sexy Ben Freeman on a regular basis) is cut significantly. :(

Maybe next they'll say Robert use to molest Victoria. WATCH!

The family but also the decision to make him into yet another smug and cold bully. Emmerdale already has about 10 of those, who needs more?

So which characters would you dump?

I'd get rid of every teenage character who isn't named Victoria. I would also get rid of Bob, Hazel, Brenda, Katie, Jai, Leyla's sister...

What a can of worms ...

First, I'd want to keep Kelly and Eve.

Exits (other than those already announced): Alex Moss (the new farmhand), Cameron, All the Maceys/Bartons, Hazel, Bob, Brenda, Jai, Alicia, Leyla, Lizzie, Amy, Sandy, the King's, Nicola and Rodney, Aaron, Pearl, Rhona/Marlon/Paddy & Katie.

On the fence: Cain, Zak, Charity, Chastity ...

Of course, this wouldn't all happen at once, but gradually as I brought in some past characters who would fit nicely back in the village. Like the remaining Windsors, Biff Fowler, Zoe and the children, Kathy and her family, Steph, Bernice, Robert, Paul, Tina, Daz, etc ...

And yes, I'd recast if I must. I'm cutthroat, yo!

The fun never ends in Emmerdale. The latest rumor going around is that

I also read a rumor at DS that the show planned to give Nathan the story about stalking Katie and setting fire to the village, and that's why Lyndon quit. If so I like Lyndon even more now! What a trashy, sick story to give a character that you could have used for years and years.

Very exciting news! Emmerdale Volume 3 will be realesed on May 30th! On this we'll get to see the following storylines:

"Henry Wilks plan to modernise and intensify farm operations, and the resulting conflict with Matt Skilbeck and Jack Sugden; Peggy Skilbeck's tragic death; the arrival of doctor Clare Scott; and the ongoing tribulations of the teenage Joe Sugden. At the Woolpack, meanwhile, Amos is desperately seeking staff, and the return of barmaid Alison causes more than a little friction."

Oh, and Carl, one of your favourite Hollyaoks actors joins Emmerdale next Thursday. Matt Milburn, who played Joe Spencer (R.I.P) I can't wait to see how they underuse and waste him like they do with more than half the cast.

Really? I barely get through Emmerdale a few times a month. I dread to think how they will ruin him. He was great on Hollyoaks. Fun and goofy, yet capable of seriousness when he had a chance. I hope Emmerdale doesn't fail the way they have failed so many others.

Who is this new guy being brought in for? What's the point? A new love interest for Katie?

I'm quite happy with all the soon-to-be cast exits; they're either pointless, underused or underdeveloped and don't bring anything to the show being stuck on the backburner for months, so it's good they're going.

That's: Scarlet, Eve, Roz, Jackson, Hazel, Mia, Declan's Dad (forget his name).

date: Monday, May 5 | Christopher Dunn, Lynn Martin | Anthony Pascarelli Dana is certifiably insane. Beyond insane. And I oop... Anita is about to pop off on her, and this is where it gets good. Oh God, Deadbeat, stop while you're ahead. You are not one to talk with how you treat your husband and children. Settle. Go on, Nicole. Tell Theodore exactly who his busted ass is. Not Dana comparing herself to those she's compared herself to. Damn, Katherine is really putting Eva beyond the bottom of her shoe with her insults. Savage, but deserved, because she called out Eva the first day. She knew, and not a single person believed her. Oh, Theodore, how dare you try and play yourself on the same level as Nicole; it's completely different. Mama Anita is up to bat, and she's going to come out swinging. And she delivered it to Dana in the way only the matriarch of a family could. Nicole kicking Theodore out "day by day" is everything. She's not taking this anything but day by day. W H E W... Katherine telling Eva she's dead to her. Wow. That's got to cut. Dana locking Eva's ass out and drinking her wine in her robe is the ultimate villain. True villain. Notes: Anyone trying to sell that Brandon Claybon (Martin) has improved in his acting must be lying, because this is laughable and bad. Next up for recast: the role of Martin Richardson. Omg. It's so damn bad. This man cannot act. At all. He's got to GO! Daphnée Duplaix (Nicole) is showing how much she's been missed from daytime. Ambyr Michelle (Eva) once again gave an award-winning performance in her scenes. Outstanding, standout star! The montage with Tamara Tunie (Anita) singing "Amazing Grace" was a brilliant touch to wrap up the episode, and to allow us the ability of moving on on Thursday.
    • That ending was beautifully done. Anita took us to church.
    • Leslie is TRASH, locking poor Eva out
    • That !@#$%^&*]ed up for Leslie to lock Eva out
    • Haha - my bad

Beautiful rendition of Amazing Grace by Anita. Effective way to pull on our emotions, especially watching Nicole and Kat cuddle together on the couch.
    • The end of this montage would have been a good time to have an explosion inadvertently kill off Ashley and Derek in classic Guza style.

    • No it was the preview for this week lol
    • Wait, did I miss something - didn't last Friday's episode end with Eva arriving at a man's doorstep? But here she was with Kat the full time. Oh wait, was that the previews I'm thinking of? Haha, oops.  I can't believe Leslie locked Eva out of the damn house!
    • I'd crawl into a hole and die if Anita ever came for me the way she is Leslie lol
