I began watching Another World again (after having not watched it for probably five years) to watch the storyline in which Tracy Brooks Swope appeared. I remember her from Where the Heart Is, but I was not impressed. I was, though, when she appeared on Another World.

Her mother (the late Margaret Hays) appeared on A Flame in the Wind.

Thanks, CarlD. How interesting that Tracy and Priscilla Pointer traveled to the UK together on holiday. I think it is nice when screen families are close offscreen as well. She and Priscilla were excellent in their roles as the bitchy Rainey women. I liked Tracy. She was an interesting actress. Unfortunately, a few years ago she was involved in some nasty business with a group of animal rights activists, with Tracy confronting them on the street and hurling AIDS-related epithets at them. I never knew what that was all about.

That's bizarre. All I know of her is her work here and on AW (haven't seen much of that...none of WTHI).

I would pay money to see Priscilla Pointer's work on this show. I liked her on Knots Landing.

On September 23, Barbara Baxley was replaced by Rue McClanahan in the role of Margaret Jardin. Also joining the cast was Philip Sterling (last seen as Rafe Carter on Another World) as Lt. Hayward.

Was Louise Shaffer on WTHI before or after EON?

Thanks. I do know that she and Diana van der Vlis stayed friends until the latter's passing. Diana's husband was in the publishing business and was instrumental in launching Louise's first novel (according to Louise on FB).

It's depressing to me how actors such as James Mitchell had to play coy with interviewers on the subject of their love life.
