As opposed to Lily and Devon describing to the audience the baby pictures they were looking at. Good lord that was Zzzzzzzzzz.

Yup, that was a huge bore. It's like they're saying "Hay, we have a huge cast of amazing actors who could deliver good acting in decent storylines, but why bother when we can have boring character telling boring stories?"

At the risk of having posters tar and feather me... I still say that Judith Chapman is one of the finer actors on Y&R and at least Gloria's story has some impetus.

She's immensely talented, just overexposed.

She is a great actress. But she has overtaken the whole show. It's all about Gloria. She cant carry the show. Lily and Devon are just boring period.

Frankly, Cat, I was laughing too hard (at their trip down memory lane) to fall asleep. Drucilla? In the woods? Fishing?

...Chloe...

Hmmm... Chloe could stay. She has a lot of potential, but she's constantly thrown under the Lily/Cane bus.

Judith is good at playing a certain type of character.

If you refer back to that thread from a few weeks ago, the one about the Time Magazine article on soaps from the mid 70's, there's a mention of "scheming Natalie" on ATWT. She was played by - you guessed it - Judith Chapman.

Lily: And remember when Dru caught that HUGE bass?

Devon: And I dared her to kiss it? Girl, she kissed that big old fish right on the lips! Kiss my bass! Bwahahahahaha!

Me:

Swear to God, WTF was that? This also made me LMAO:

Lily: Oh. Look at mom and dad's wedding pictures!

Devon: ...and Mom wearing that HUGE hat!

Lily: Yeah, even back then mom was... :rolleyes:fashionable.

Miaow!

Oh, I hear you. No matter how much I love a character, I couldn't bear seeing them on every day. And Gloria has been on Every. Single. DAY. I did just want to express the opinion that she's taken this unlikeable character and really run with it. But completely overexposed? Absolutely.

Oy. Did I just read that the writers created a bogus scenario where Dru kissed a damn fish on the lips? That's as possible as Victor having another baby after having two vasectomies!!

Oh wait...
