That Gloria nightmale fantasy Brothers Grimm tale style was beyond horrid.

And FauxAwfulAustrlianColleen is back - YAWN!

Boretoria had a lot of airtime this week, even with Prof. Cowbell - Yawn, Yawn, Yawn!

To spin this post into a positive note: Y&R is better than B&B these days. Not that this says anything.

I love me some of the snarky GC dialogue like Sabrina to Adam: "Now you can call me mommy" LMAO!!!

Brad the smugness Carlton is also quite funny. But I want more serious b*tching when it comes to Jill/Nikki - really evil.

He's also terribly cruel to David, lol. Not that I feel sorry for Mr. Chow, but that Brad was relentless in getting David to fall off the wagon. I'm surprised Brad didn't give him and Nikki a slot machine for a belated wedding present, lol.

Was that where she dreamed about selling flowers at Crimson Lights? Good God. All that needed was Gloria breaking into "Wouldn't It Be Luvverley".

I'm afraid of JFP. Really. I'd feel better about JFP if I knew she had any kind of respect for what shows were. I'd be willing to entertain your idea if I believed JFP had any respect for anyone else's work other than her own. Also, I feel she doesn't know when to leave well-enough alone.

For me the problem is I have yet to see this immense Tammin talent that you assure us of. Granted she has not been given much to do, as you have also pointed out. Until they do, the recast will seem needless for those of us who don't know Tammin. So based on your assessment I will wait and try to be patient.

And I'm no big AL fan, just didn't see the need for a recast.

I came into this thread with the intention of satirizing your devotion to Tammin S. by screaming "SHE WAS ROBBED OF THAT EMMY!"

We both know she didn't deserve it, or even the nomination (not saying she's not talented, just she hasn't had the opportunity to show it yet), but you don't deserve to be made fun of either.

I still can't get over the biggest, ungainly elephant in the room. Sabrina, her pregnancy, and the wedding happened.

If this is supposed to be the next big story, at least give the audience some kind of wink. or did I miss the wink because I fell asleep in all the boredom.

She's the Y&R counterpart of Higley's John McBain on OLTL. Her superior talent can only bring it so far. No one actor can carry a whole show and expectnig them to do so just makes the audience sick of them.

People are actually wishing for soap killer Jill Farren Phelps??? OMG!!!! Never thought I'd see the day. Have any of you watched GH in the last 3 years? At all? Because its the most craptastic show on TV imo and I finally had to give it up.

JFP as Y&R EP? Oh my lord. Please soap gods don't do that to us.

Here's the thing with JFP's reign at GH. It coincided with the departure of Angela Shapiro and the arrival of Brian Frons. What we've seen happen to GH, and ABC Daytime as a whole, is not JFP's doing. It's Frons Frons Frons.

JFP is the sort of EP who is given a mandate and she fulfills it. At AW she was told to financially trim the fat and improve the 18-49 year demo and she did just that, by 34%. At GH she's fulfilled the ageist, plot driven, 'train the audience' mandate of Frons. And she's done just that. I think to fairly evaluate JFP one has to consider her time at GL or SB and then realize that on those shows her mandate was to run a successful show which I happen to think she did.

If she came to Y&R her mandate would likely be "make Y&R great again, make it watchable, make the fans happy" and I have a feeling she'd do just that. She'd fire everyone she thought was dead weight, hire the best of everything and hit the ground running. OR NOT. And that is the problem with JFP, she's a big risk.

I don't know what the numbers were at AW, but how in hell did she get away with that kind of budget slash and still manage that well-publicized major overhaul of the AW sets? The mind boggles. That's why she scares me.

That's why? AW was looking so cheap and badly produced before she got there. With the sinking ratings and low budget she had to work with, she made the show look visually beautiful again.

She's not an EP in the traditional sense, she has very innovative ideas that sometimes work or blow up in her face. However, you never know until you try, right? I'm not saying Y&R needs her and only her, but I think Y&R needs an EP who has a strong vision, willing to fire the worst actors, producers, writers, etc, and just an overall strong show-runner. Right now and for the past three years, the show hasn't had someone like that.

Maybe an independent film producer or a producer from outside the genre who is innovative, willing to fire the dead weight, and strong-willed could do the job...

Can someone explain to me like I am two how Sabrina is pregnant if supposely Victor had a Vasc. I mean come on this will make Ashley look even worse in stealing sperm to have Victors child if he could have them already. Talk about rewriting history. Victor needs more children like I a bullet in my head.

Pretty much every writer/producer associated with this era of GH is tainted in my eyes. Why even take the chance that you are bringing on someone responsible for that hot mess on board Y&R? This show has enough troubles right now, let's not import them. Personally, I wish they had kept LML until they hired someone better.
