Maybe I have a chip on my shoulder when it comes to VR, but I was a little offended by it. Given the way Dru "died", kissing the fishes sounds a lot like sleeping with the fishes.

Wow, Gloria really freaks me out every time she kisses someone. When she starts kissing someone her eyes stay wide open and then close later. I've seen it million times and it still freaks me out.

Even though he directed only two episodes, I really like the music Jim Sayegh uses in the scenes.

I don't know why either, dmarex. Unless Lowell returns either to whisk Gloria away, rape Lauren, or ultimately cause Michael to be disbarred, frankly, I'm not going to care.

You know, that didn't occur to me, TC? But now that it has...? I think you're right. And certainly, given the way Drucilla "died," I don't know if Devon and Lily would be so happy to recollect their (heretofore unknown) trip to the woods w/o mentioning where and how their mother "died", either.

Actually, that (Lowell coming to Genoa City as a wealthy man) might have its' advantages. At the very least, if he were to win Gloria back, that would put an end to her days as a shopgirl out of a bad Ginger Rogers movie (because, let me tell you, if/when she gets fired again from Jabot, there's only one place for her to go, and that's to the Newman ranch as a maid, and I know I don't care to see Gloria as Victor's maid).

Gloria as Victor's maid... Good chuckle. That would just be hilarious...

Just imagine the a amazing love story that could erupt... :P:lol:

Maybe Victor will fall in love, then Gloria's "terrible-Lowell" will arrive in Genoa City, Victor will kill him, and you know the rest...

HT is a brilliant actress, but her version of Victoria was not the least bit likeable - she was an immature, selfish bitch for her entire tenure on the show.

CK is an enormous improvement over DS, who put absolutely NO emotion into her performances. I remember a scene where Lily asked Daniel if he was seeing someone else, and she said it as if she were saying "you want sugar in your coffee?". No emotion at all. Most of the time she looked like she really didn't want to be there.

AL is a good actress, but she was NEVER Colleen. Her version of Colleen was a bitch, much like HT's Victoria. TS is brilliant - she has made Colleen likeable for the first time since Lyndsy Fonseca.

I have a right to express my opinion without being ridiculed by you.

I was a fan of TS long before she joined Y&R, and she gets more crap from fans than any other actor on the show. I know what she is capable of given the right material, and that is why I get defensive of her.

No, the CS and Reliquary SLs were not quality. The Carmen SL was okay. But the SLs are not the actors' fault.

I have been watching Y&R since the 90s, so I don't need to watch clips. And yes, I am enjoying it now as much as I ever did.

Now THAT I agree with!

    • Yeah, I don't really love Felicity being used to push the Chad/Cat agenda.  I don't get the question on Xander's behavior either.  He was wrong and offensive. I like Xander.  I think Paul Telfer is great.  If Marlena did the same thing I would say she's wrong too.  Characters are imperfect and that's fine.
    • Vanessa told Joey that her best friend had cheated and has a surprise daughter.  Joey said the same had happened to him.  I wasn't sure if Joey was saying he has an adult out-of-wedlock child?
    • Interesting. I definitely think that it's possible that Jan could be a former lover of Joey's from back in the day, maybe back when he was still married. I won't be surprised if it comes out at some point that Jan used to be an escort or something.
    • Quick question, How are you guys making time to watch all these soaps? I consider myself a pretty organized person, but since I have committed to watching more of the older soaps. I feel all over the place, and can not figure out a schedule that seems to work.  How are you all doing it?   Thanks. I will check that out.
    • Oh, poor Henry had to wait for the grave to finally come "out"! The whole things was McTavish plot dictated so that Hart could have money to pull off his scam of Roger later. The fortune is totally forgotten later. Which reminds me WHY did they fire Hilliard who actually could kinda pass for a midwestern farm boy..from JOISEY Grillo? AM and Lucy's wedding has got to be the weirdest wedding up to that point and really exemplified the McLaiby cheesy run. Universal Studios? And the Spauldings shut the place down for the wedding that only involves 6 people??? Its not even that weird that Bridget and David arent there...they didn't even invite AM's Mom or Grandfather...
    • It seems easy to be empathic that if a random man raised his voice to me at the mall today, I would not be appeased if he later went and apologized to my sister. I like giving the character more to do, because there is a value in representing a person with a congenital disorder being employed, given that the unemployment rate in that community tops 83%.  I just hope they find a voice for the character that matches her functioning ability.  As for Cat, I wonder if she is going to inherit any of Clyde's money?  And that was the reason for the phone call.  I know he's not dead, but he could have named her family as the beneficiary of some insurance policy if he were to be incapacitated.  And the call could have been an attorney trying to reach her to give her money.
    • Oh you may have been watching the Teresa/Tom storyline...or "Terry the tumor" as she was called.
    • Are these new?! Damn, he is in the prime of his life.
    • He is a 40 year old large grown man "raising his voice" and calling a teenage girl "careless".  That's inappropriate.  I am not going to argue at the octave of his voice although I would consider it yelling.  Felicity was visibly upset.  She also has special needs, but it would be wrong to do that to anyone in general.  Xander was out of line.  He didn't immediately apologize or admit he was wrong until Princess Sarah was okay.  Idk, go find your wife's epipen instead of berating a young girl.  Or, you know, Sarah could have asked if there was any pistachio in her scone as a pre-caution.  That's how most people with allergies that severe order things. I do think this story or plot point is silly, but acting like Xander did nothing wrong is just strange.  Even if Felicity DID do something wrong was he just going to continue to go on and on while his wife was going into shock?  That's the proper reaction lol.
