Erica's once promising storyline has went to the gutter. It had promise when the focus was on bettering the prison environment, but now its went back to New Beginnings???WTF :rolleyes: Why oh why do they insists bringing this dreadful show back to the forefront???

I loved the Tad & Dixie scenes! I just stopped watching and am trying to stop bawling.

Jesse & Angie were good, too.

I wish they had shown the memorial for Julia that Angie mentioned instead of Erica's faux talk show from prison. ITA with EricaKane70. This storyline had great potential when Erica first took Carmen under her wing and it looked like she might be getting involved with a prisoners' rights, but New Beginnings:Behind Bars is incredibly dumb!

At least JR finally got the truth out of Richie. If this is how Richie dies, I'm disappointed that they didn't have big murder mystery with JR, Babe, and Annie as the suspects.

Why, oh, why are they putting Greenlee in scenes with Ryan again?!? That pairing always brings the show down!

I totally agree. The spoilers talked about some "fantastic journey". Instead it was mostly Tad talking about Jamie's prank!

They should have left it with the "what things would have been like had Dixie not gone to Europe" stuff. I love Dixie/Cady and would rather that she not had this last day because it ruined it IMO.

I know not to expect great things from AMC but I'm shocked at how little effort TPTB put into the Tad/Dixie stuff today.

Erica's story is a joke. What the heck is the point of this? What is going on with Susan Lucci/Erica? She was barely on the second half of last year. B&E claimed they had to work around Susan's vacation time. So Susan had 6 months of vacation? I don't buy it. Then this "big story" is a non-story. It seems like they wanted Erica isolated from the canvas so they could tape all her scenes in one day. Can they no longer afford to work Susan more than once a week?

good lord WHY did they have to bring New Beginnings back? I thought we were done with it when Erica got cancelled but now she's producing her own prison themed version from behind bars?

LMAO at Annie going off on Greenlee. Ouch! Kendall sure got her good in the eye

Agreed with basically everything Steve said. I liked Richie and that's an example of what went wrong with B/E Good story start up potential and then the story just goes FLAT--all this woulda been much more interesting if we had SEEN Richie more than 5 mins the past month or if it had happened a month ago. I wanted to see him more with Opal.

I'm a Tad fan but not so much a Dixie fan (okay, I'll own up to the unpopular opinion that I HATE Dixe)

BUT

I will admit that I actually teared up. No one is more surprised than me. I didn't think it would affect me one way or the other but the scenes were so tender and bittersweet that I couldn't stop myself and even though I'm not a T&D fan, I understand that the story says that Tad will always love Dixie and she is his soulmate. It's nice to see that kind of connection, an honoring of history and a scene that was about pure unadulterated emotion.

STELLAR JOB MEK and CM. My hat is off to them.

And even though I disagree with Angie's POV because I can see how much being a cop means to Jesse (and I selfishly believe that if Jesse is the Chief that MAYBE sometimes a crime might get solved in PV but I digress) but I can totally see WHY Angie's gut reaction is what it is. I also like the fact that this couple is talking about it, giving their points of view. I don't think Angie is ready to really hear Jesse yet but I think she will. Jesse is hearing Angie though and he wants her to feel safe and he's willing to make the sacrifice to make that happen for her. I dig that!

Sorry, I liked the scenes with JR and Ritchie. It's about time Ritchie's smug attitude bit him in the booty and I sort of like JR's ruthless side when he offers it to someone that deserves it. It's like his Chandler genes just manifest themselves into a heck of a scene.

And I LIKED the scenes with Erica. I can see her as a woman that would fear what will happen when she leaves after she feels something was ripped out from under her. I also really like Carmen and Erica as frends. THAT is a good healthy friendship and it is a giant stark contrast to some other friendships that are being highlighted on the show. Yes, I do believe in Erica's friendship with her fellow prisoner more that I believe in Kenlee....so sue me.

and then let's see....Annie/Ryan/Greenlee....hmmmm....well.....I liked Annie's dress and Greenlee's outfit. That's all I have to say about that.

I cried watching the T&D stuff, frankly I ff the rest of the show so I can't comment.

Two great things:

1. Tad not wanting to close his eyes and touch Dixie's hand... because he wanted to keep looking at her (because, as he's always said, she's a lot of fun to look at LOL) and was afraid she would disappear on him again. Very sad. Very T&D. Real.

2. Dixie asking Tad to make her laugh. Great hommage to their history, he was the one who could always make her laugh. Odd, though that an angel would miss that, no? Shouldn't she be living out a fantasy life up there, between talks with Grandma Kate and Bess Cooney? LOL And why no talk of Jenny? I'm sure she's hanging out with them too.

One lousy thing:

1. Dixie telling Tad that this time he has to let her go. WTF?????? He had no trouble forgetting all about her the minute she died. So, obviously that was a messge to the audience, not Tad. Well.. I let go. I took AMC off the Nielsen TiVo last night. I'm done being insulted and disrespected as a viewer.

One curious thing:

1. Tad made his wish (to touch her one more time)... but Dixie didn't make one. She said she took him there so they could make a wish. Well.. ??

    • I'm seeing some interesting takes on this thread regarding Dani's behavior/personality, including right now. Here's my take on her: I think that Dani relishes in lighting people up. I think that's for multiple reasons.  I feel like Dani has probably largely been like this throughout her life. And that she gets joy in dragging people whenever she feels like it's necessary. I believe she feels like this is her being herself. I think one big reason why she's particularly giddy right now is because she's able to go back to acting this way, minus the hurt she's been dealing with due to Bill's affair. She got in Bill and Hayley's faces after their affair/wedding, but she was miserable doing it due to dealing with the hurt of that situation. Nicole's situation with Ted/Eva/Leslie allows her to act this way minus her suffering like she did at the hands of Bill. I believe she does empathize/care for her sister but is also interestingly enough rejuvenated by this situation. This situation is energizing her and making her act more like old self again, minus the being hurt by her own's husband's infidelity. I think it's a distraction for her from dealing with her own failed marriage to Bill.
    • Great episode, better than what the spoilers said. The gambling story was tolerable but Jon Lindstrom sucks in the role. Ambyr Michelle continues to shine. The diner and country club scenes were very well executed.  The Jan and Leslie scenes were very good! My favorite is Eva, now followed by Nicole.
    • Today's show was good. The only part I didn't care for were the Derek/Ashley scenes. I think they are bland together and Derek is very bland by himself. He is the least interesting character on the show IMO. I don't think they have much chemistry together. I appreciated Jan's reaction to Leslie. I like how regular/realistic her and Mona are as characters. Jan came across as very believable of being appalled and even hurt by Leslie's treatment of them and towards Eva in the diner.  Leslie continues to try and manipulate people with IMO her fake caring routine, only to show her true colors after she's confronted/called out for her treatment of others. I continue to dislike the way she mistreats Eva. Speaking of Eva she was great again today. I love her and I like how Martin comforted her in the diner. I liked that Vernon showed concern for her as well. They (especially Martin) will come around quicker to her before others (like the Dupree women) will. I also am glad to see her and Ted continue to bond and him behaving like a father towards her/helping her. He's the only one in her life who is fully trying to stand by her. I look forward to seeing their relationship grow.
    • Xander was screaming at Felicity.  He did do something wrong.  Felicity was clearly upset by it and Cat/Chad told him to stop.  That's fair.  No one deserves to be yelled at their job-and even I think this plot point is too preachy.  It's not acceptable behavior for anyone to do that.
    • When Derek finally appears with only a towel, and his chest and pecs/nipples are finally shown, I say yes.

    • Now, actually not. That thought had not even made it into my head, so, no, so far anyway, I've not seen that. Haven't seen today yet. What you're describing is warped & I think she's feeling genuine empathy & sister bond.
    • Xander was the bigger person apologizing to Cat when he didn't do anything wrong.  he wasn't yelling at Felicity whatsoever, he was asking if she possibly had given them the wrong order by mistake.  He was trying to get to the bottom of what was going on, but Chad/Cat were trying to white knight Felicity even though Felicity was being treated just like anyone else in that situation.   She was the one to bring the order out to them, and usually the person that brings the order out is the one that puts the order together.    I'm still getting a read on the Cat character.   I think she seems to work well when interacting with everyone other than Chad.   Perhaps the new writers can move Cat out of Chad's orbit into another orbit. Paulina has been written quite well the few times she's been on since the writer change.  I think Jackee is enjoying the new writing.. you can tell when she's on screen.
    • LOL - well, Peter was included in the grandkids' section, each named specifically with their $100K trusts.  It must have been the abs...

In Henry's will, he said it had to do with Hart having a chance at being a better person than his father, since his father isn't providing for him (I'm paraphrasing here, but it was about Roger).  Still a little surprised...
    • I'm glad the truth is all out regarding Roman and Kate's secrets from each other, and also happy Roman didn't make much of the letter forgery, because why would he even care? They are a good solid couple. However, not to be mean, when Roman had his little flashback at the DiMera mansion he seemed more like an old man that was lost. How wonderfully aggravating that we still don't know what the hell happened with Johnny the night EJ was shot. I can't wait to find out. I've my feelings clear on Paulina, but she was definitely written much more adult and Jackée even seemed a bit toned down, for the better. Nothing boring about either scenes for me. I like the little drama between Xander and Cat, for the newness of the interaction alone. AnnaLynne McCord is much better at material where she's not acting dementedly lovesick. Seeing that side to Cat was integral to remembering she's not a moron, and I am definitely intrigued by the heck could be calling her. Kevin Lambert returning is a cute little surprise. I never watched Chadwick Hopson in the role though, was he any good?
