In 1986 Brenda was having health problems but nobody cared.

Feb 1986, Brenda was exhausted....problem with mentsral(sp?) cycle......

October 25, 1986...Ed Scott called Brenda to film on a Saturday but Brenda wasn't scheduled. She did come in....she was crampy...she waited 6 hours for the director to call on set. Tom Langan called her not to come in and that they had a replacement. Deborah was hired for one week. Brenda went to the dressing room and saw Deborah there. She confronted the producers. "I'm here, I can work. What are you doing." Brenda's laywers tried to stop the episodes with Adair from airing.

June 5th, 1987, she went to the hostpial

June 8th, 1987 - 10am appoint.....went to studio at 6am..scenes were suppose to be taped in time for Brenda's ppoint. Frank Pacelli taped someone else ahead of her. Frank decide to change the blocking at the last minute. Brenda hit hip on desk. Ed Scott and Bill Bell said if you don't go out there, you're fired. Brenda said she needs help and that she's sick. Bell said if she left, you're fired. Brenda begged for her job (she had 8 weeks left). Brenda: "This will ruin my career." Bell replied, "You don't have a career."

1987 Brenda sued CBS for 11 million for wrongful termination.

Ohh.....the fight with Bergman and Braeden is next!

Spring 1987, Brenda was fired for breach of contract. Brenda tried to get other work, but producers said she was unreliable. An east coast producer called her and asked what happened, she told the producer she was ill. The producer said that he/she was going to check up on that.....and then Brenda never heard back from that prodcer.

December 1991, Bergman and Braeden got into a fist fight over who was suppose to have the last word in the scene. LOL Both actors issued a public apology.

And that's it. Damn, I wish I saw the first half.

Dickson missed a ridiculous large amount of tapings. Even with possible post-recordings, they had to temp recast THRICE for several episodes each time within 6 months between 1986-1987... It was ridiculous: "The role of Jill Foster Abott is played today by Deborah Adair". One day they even had a "The role of Jill Foster Abbott is now being played by..." - next episode Brenda Dickson walked back in the same set with a large grim on her face.

Same thing happened in 1987 but too unluckily for her, Jess Walton stuck with us when Brenda Dickson went absent a second within just one month or so...

    • The TVC Studio 31 that they used for 38 years was only about 13,730 sq ft., according to the TVC website specs: https://televisioncityla.com/stages-offices/ Sunset Las Palmas Studios has 11 sound stages, which go up to 20,000 sq ft., though we're yet to learn which of those sound stages will house B&B. Depending on which one, the specs for it can be found here: https://www.sunsetstudios.com/los-angeles/las-palmas-studios/ Sound Stages 4, 5 and 9 are available for use starting September 1, 2025. It's unclear if either of those stages would be used by B&B since they begin production there starting Tuesday, August 19, 2025, which would be before the date shown on the website, but we shall see. Of those three sound stages, only Sound Stage 4 and 5 make sense since they are larger than the specs the show had at TVC, while 9 is quite smaller.  Sound Stage 4 would be the best option overall for B&B since it has 18,819 sq ft., the largest individual sound stage at the lot - Stage 3 and Stage 8 share space, which combined makes the space 19,900 sq ft.
    • I didn't post about it in the BtG thread as I still don't watch the show (an hour runtime is just too much for me right now with a new soap I can't just mostly skip through) but I can't imagine the ego of someone who is hired as a breakdown writer and decides to [!@#$%^&*] their own name all over the show. Classless beyond belief. Any writer who cares more about masturbatory behavior than quality of work should not be hired.
    • Yeah, it would've made things more tightly woven.
    • I like Chelsea and Madison. Two very pretty black women as a potential couple. But I really wish this show would've showcased two very handsome black men as a couple instead.
    • I didn't even think of roasters from GH

Maybe this roast will take even more than two years
    • Irna wasn't involved with ATWT at the time of Neil's death, was she? I'm imagining a situation where right after his latest doctor's appointment, he's killed.
    • The Cruise of Deception was the first thing that came to mind when I mentioned that Brady might take after that side of the family
    • We all knew that TT is busy so if she's off screen for a bit except for phone calls and/or visits.. then it is what is. Ashley was nicely used as support... which the writers should have been doing since day 1 so that viewers could understand why exactly she's on the show LOL Chelsea/Madison.... seems too good to be true... we shall see. Shanice as a PT... if it means more airtime.. I'm good.
    • Yeah, he's a mobster with Vanessa while his wife cozies up to mobsters as the worst mayor in America.
    • He's too busy in Maryland with a younger blonde woman.
