OMG I can't believe jr finally got a haircut. Loved erica dancing with the other inmates, I would of lost it she would of started popping her collar and started doing the cabbage patch. It's funny that B-5 was on, I was thinking why weren't they are star's party on oltl instead of Mary J. Blige. The warden is a hot mess, she should want the things erica is talking about it would make her job alot better.

Last year, 3 NYC cops, shot 51 times at Shawn Bell, (and I think 2 other men) the day before his wedding and killed him. He was an unarmed black man and was doing nothing. The courts let those bastards free and found them not guilty. Its a pretty big racial controversy over here in NY

yeah it is horrible. Shows how corrupt the cops can be and how f-ed up the legal system is.

Just saw the show and Cassandra is WAY too old. I know soaps SORAS all the time, but she should not be in her 20s, about the same age as Frankie. They should have brought her on as a teen, about 16 or 17.

I ff'd through that horrid rap/hip-hop crap! I hate when soaps bring on random musical guests, especially when the genre doesn't suit the character. Would these kids even care who Erica is?

I loved Erica's scenes with the warden. I had to laugh that Erica really thought she could tell the warden how to run the prison.

I don't get why Zach grabbed the burning wood. Didn't he want to erase all memories of that place?

JR & Adam took another step backward. JR was acting as though scenes earlier in the week never even happened. I did enjoy watching Adam react to his haunting but I can't wait until he sees Dixie!

Angie/Jesse, et al. were good. I just hope the hunt for the stuffed elephant doesn't drag on too long.

I agree that Cassandra has bitch potential from what we've seen so far and I hope TPTB utilize it.

Yaya is definitely too old to be Cassandra. I can't see her with Dre anymore than I could see AC's Colby with Frankie! This foursome (even with the re-cast) is going to be a disaster. In fact I could see Cassandra looking older than Frankie!

In AMC's defense (sort of) I thought I read B5 approached them. (Still doesn't explain why they did not say NO).

And they did write the song in honor of Erica, so they do they care about Erica lol. AMC didn't ask them to come up with some song.

That said I shook my head throughout the whole thing. But AMC used to do this kind of thing all the time in the 80s: bring on real-life fans of Erica's (sports players etc) and put them in these cheesy scenes, which in that decade people loved.

Really good show overall though! Heck even Bugler seems to have improved a bit.

    • I agree.  How many times did we have to watch Bobby vs. J.R., or Blake vs. Alexis, knowing that nothing would change at the end, and that everything would go back to status quo, so that they could fight the same, exhausting battles all over again?  If nothing else, I give FC and KL credit for trying to keep things fresh, even if I think FC, in particular, went too far in the other direction and became unrecognizable even to the most diehard fans. Exactly.  Plus, because viewers were so burned out by the kind of serialized storytelling that was beginning to affect even half-hour comedies, I think MSW represented a nice change of pace.  You didn't have to watch every week, or watch from the beginning of each season, to know what was going on with Miss Fletcher.  Instead, you could watch a complete story in one episode, de-stress from whatever had happened in your own life last week, gear yourself up for the week ahead, and be okay. If you notice, though, there were differences between those two shows and what Aaron Spelling had produced in the past.  For one thing, there was a greater emphasis on youth; and while characters on 90210 and MP certainly had more disposable incomes than the average viewer, their wealth wasn't as opulent as what we'd seen on DYNASTY or on "Hart to Hart."  Even the battles among Alison, Amanda, Billy and others at that advertising agency weren't as histrionic as those between Denver Carrington and ColbyCo.
    • I saw a conversation yesterday with Liam with the 7 dwarves hat and Steffy -  I know she did not say re: Hope and Liam said - well look at Finn and you forgave him right?      I know I did not hear Steffy say “well but you can’t compare that to…”  For *uck sake someone call the bitch out!?     You’re right, we shouldn’t compare your forgiveness for the dude with devil spawn seed whose daughter locked you in a cage along with crazy stepmom/mom/Grandmother who has also SHOT YOU BOTH - and multiple murder attempts but you have to exist with them / Hope’s part in a takeover which you know was FAR LESS THAN CARTER BECAUSE HOPE IS NOT AN ATTORNEY…. Goodness no, no the same thing at alllllllll.   When they do Steffy’s absence at least let it be because they all find out what a manipulative ho she is in her own right.
    • I think a lot of us still agree with that. I do hope that the resurgence in the soap world with Beyond the Gates will push ABC to either bring back these shows or produce a newer one.
    • So, this was fun. Elsewhere, friendly to polls, a poll on what do you want to see at the Nurses Ball. The Gio reveal got 18%, for Blaze to return & sing also got 18%, for Jennifer Hudson to do a cameo & sing got 10% and for Lucy to lose various parts of clothing got 9% but the huge one was the reveal of Drew/Nina sex which got a whopping 45%!
    •   I liked the effect of the curtains closing. Yeah it was like the end of Act I.   Or maybe they are simply trying to emphasize the drama of the end of an episode -- instead of a random abrupt end that has happened in some prior episodes.
    • I posted this in the behind the scenes thread but I know this thread is busier so wanted to mention it here as well. During their instagram live yesterday, Daphnee Duplaix and Trisha Mann-Grant mentioned that they will find out this month if the show is renewed for another season. Just a heads up so we can keep an eye out for an announcement and keep our fingers crossed for a multi-year renewal!
    • They haven't explained the ownership of the Bistro, but Doug told Holly the other day he didn't get the job there. Basically Roman just hired Doug on the spot and gave him a room.  It was really nice of Roman.  I don't know if he knows who Doug is or that he stole Julie's necklace.  That was unclear-at least to me. ETA-I feel like the Bistro might just die and people will just pretend to order food there like Leo did today.  Sophia is on bed rest so no one works there anymore.  They can use that set for something else.
    • I'm not sure how I felt about it, but I do kind of like that it felt like the show telling us this concludes the first chapter of the series. Could be interesting if they only do it for big aftermath episodes. The biggest mistake with Martin is that it's almost hard to buy his anger because we've gotten no strong scenes with him and his parents. They've all been with Anita/Vernon. I can't even remember him ever even saying one word to Nicole, even in passing.
    •   Thank you! Agreed on both posts. And the comments about Mike Manning are nonsense.
