Jake has been working with Doctors Without Borders in Africa, but is currently being held captive in Darfur. Aidan will rescue him and bring him home to Pine Valley, where Jake does NOT wish to be. He doesn't want to see his family, but wants to return to Africa. He's coming back emotionally scarred and of course with a very big secret as well. Dixie returns two days later in ghost form, and her mission is not only to lead Tad to Kate, but she also will play a big role in persuading Jake to stay in Pine Valley.
