Why the hell hasnt Sheila Carter from BB been mentioned?

Another good one was Cassie Carpenter Buchanan from OLTL. She had two ones. The first was when she was married to Andrew and her baby died and the second happened when she was married to Kevin and he cheated. She was good

GH: Kevin Collins

PC: Julie Devlin

Were any of those to do with the nurse, Barbara? I remember reading about the story. It sounded good on paper with the heroine turning psycho on the psycho but doubtless it wasn't as original as it came across.

There have been so many!

DAYS OF OUR LIVES:

--Mickey Horton discovers that his brother Bill had raped Mickey's wife, Laura, and was the real father of Mickey's "son", Mike. He goes beserk.

ANOTHER WORLD:

--After waiting literally YEARS to be together with her beloved Steven, a fragile Alice Frame retreats to her house in the country after Steve is carted off to jail. When a vindictive Rachel taunts Alice about taking possession of the house and kicking Alice out, Alice snaps.

THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS:

--Introverted concert pianist Leslie Brooks discovers, on the eve of her first major performance, that her scheming sister Lorie has been trying to steal the handsome Brad Elliot away from her. Leslie stumbles on stage, humiliates herself with a botched performance, and runs off, to develop serious signs of a schizophrenic breakdown of the streets of Detroit.

I totally forgot about Renee Jones's fantastic work during the Baby Switch Storyline. Lexie crashing Zach's christening, Lexie in the padded room, Lexie in a straightjacket, Lexie in jail, Lexie screaming at Bart, Lexie screaming at Hope...those were the DAYS. Renee Jones' best storyline, Lexie should lose it again!

And I'm with Faulkner, I too am dying to see Erica's explostion at the Woman of Year gala "St Maria of Wildwind tending to the sick in her push up bra!" Erica's addiction is my favorite AMC storyline, Susan Lucci nailed it.

It would have been good had Taylor Miller been playing her, but Nina's breakdown during the Zack Grayson murder was comedy gold. I forget if it was Heather Stanford or Barbara Kearns playing her by that time, but it did help to get her off the canvas (and usher Taylor Miller back to AMC in '86!).

Nina was drugged, possibly raped (cannot exactly recall) by Zack while Cliff's sick sister, Linda Warner, took pictures. Between that, and worrying that her mother, Daisy, murdered Zack, Nina went nuts, thought she was 16, and forgot she was married to Cliff. She fell for Benny Sago and tried to off his wife, Donna. Daisy took her away to get help then on a cruise.

about it I think Jan is a fine supporting part for a solid daytime vet (probably someone from the P&G soaps), as opposed to someone from the production location who is clearly cheaper. Which seems to govern some casting. I get the rationale, but I would start going through the ATWT/GL, etc. rolodex myself.
    • I dont mind Jan. She's good in the minor capacity she is used.
    • tbqh I don't care about Jan, I don't care about Ashley and I think Jon Lindstrom as Joey is an acquired taste. Jon is a great actor but certain things are in his zone and then some are not. Some days I find Joey credible and compelling, but the stuff with him hanging around the Golden Corral, grumbling about Doug and bitching at Randy is not amazing. If he had material on par with what MVJ wrote for Ryan/Kevin on GH back in the day it'd be a different story. I do think he has real chemistry with Vanessa, which is in large part due to MVJ clearly molding that character (and hiring an appropriate actor) in the Lucy Coe vein when she reinvented Lucy in the '90s as well. But I am not here to spend 6+ months watching Jon glower a lot (which is what he's doing half the time to carry weak story) and make more vague dire pronouncements while Jen Jacob gets flustered and weepy over "Daddy" or whatever would come of that storyline. Putting them together sounds like a recipe for doom to me. But I may be in the minority on that.
    • I know this will never happen. But... Halle Berry as Dani Dupree(BTG). She would rock this role, it's in her wheelhouse.
    • When I see how bad the Ashley/Derek scenes are, I know there must be a larger purpose and Joey being her father is the thing that makes the most sense.  My take on it is that Ashley knows Joey is her father but doesn't know Joey. Maybe he was there when she was a child or just not around at all but I believe Jan when she says she didn't lie to her daughter about who her father was. Maybe she left him when she discovered his dangerous lifestyle.  I do think they could really jump start the character of Ashley if they hurry and do this. Jan is a great character and her scenes with Ashley have been helpful. This would further integrate Ashley into the canvas and give her something dramatic to do. With her working at the hospital along with Doug, it could lead to complications if she learns Doug is involved with her father. I just need is sooner rather than later because Derek is tanking her character. I need a distraction.

    • The stories are awful. I'm not enjoying any of them. All I'm left with is Sally in a plastic dress.
