Boy HOWDY Laura is just a big bucket of crazy. And not a fun bucket of crazy that is enjoyable to watch. Just a big bucket of crazy. Whew, she is exhausting

And the Laura/Bunny/Annie story was one of my faves. I wish it had gone on longer but I am probably in the minority about that. I tended to like the crazy and outrageous characters. Flame was another of my favorite characters.

I haven’t gotten to the Bunny portion of this. Just a lot of Laura. It is close though, because Sasha is dead in Julia's freezer. Shes under ice now because the blackout melted her.

I thought they missed so many opportunities with the character of Laura. Norris is such a good actress that I would have liked them to put her in other stories that didn't revolve around Ethan or Michael (although I liked the Michael/Laura story for a long while). Soaps just loved to turn female characters crazy when they didn't know what to do with them. While I liked crazy Laura, it was obvious the writers had no idea what to do with Laura once the Leo Mitchell story ended.

How did the Capwell mansion get the old look back?

It never did. It was remodeled in 1990 by the request of CC. The O.G. mansion was never seen again.

Crystal Chappell is playing Jane the drug dealer. I'm sorry. I know this probably makes me a terrible person, but I can't see her without thinking of her buried in a coffin.

I was always under the impression that the old Capwell set was back once Conboy was gone. After watching some random 1992 episodes, I realized that the mansion was no longer important to the show.

I don't think it's the fact it wasn't important. I'm pretty sure the budget did not allow for it to be openly used. Which is likely why the finale was pretty much outdoors. That's my guess.

What were people's impressions of Sasha in the freezer? I'm seeing it for the first time and I'm rolling. Julia and NLG are so funny. Her comedic timing is perfect. It isn't the Julia I've always known, but it's easier for me to think of this show as SB 2.0.

Filed under hindsight is 20/20, but my objection to Laura's story are twofold.  First, while Norris's performance fit with the wacky, silly, period of SB storytelling, there's something odd about using the mental health issues that arise from the loss of a child and the breakdown of a marriage for giggles, especially when played against such unsympathetic partners like Michael and Ethan.  Two, I did not like that positioning of Laura as an antagonist made Gina into a damsel in distress which seemed out of character for such a longstanding member of the plot.

So, while I was entertained by the story, looking back and knowing the future direction of Gina, the flaws stick out in my memory.

I thought it was hilarious, especially when they had her singing. However, it was definitely campy and Julia going along with Mason’s dumb plan wasn’t in character so I could why some had issues with it. It also had some pretty big effects on them later down the line.

In my eyes this was not a suitable story for Mason and Julia. More of a Keith and Gina or Lionel and Augusta thing.

Could I ask, are these full episodes online somewhere in English? I can only find them in Russian or German.

There are some on YT. Mind some of the ones with Russian titles/channels have eps that are actually English. There are a bunch that have Eng in the title so you can tell, but some you have to check.
