Woop, woop, spoils for the bitches:

- Aaron notices the friendship quickly developing between his ex-girlfriend Alison Stewart and Casey Hughes, and warns her that the young man is a loser who is headed nowhere fast.

- Ameera and Casey continue to be drawn to each other. Noah continues to be stressed with the fake marriage. Luke continues to find displeasure in the whole sham. Noah is mean to Casey too, and (surprise) wants Ameera to stay away from him as well.

- Sofie's hard knocks life continues with Paul, Aaron, and Chris vying for her attention. If more then anything, Sofie is leaning towards Aaron. Yet she's drawn to Chris as well who has been there 100% for her, and Paul is there complicating things in his own unique way. There's a connection between Paul and Sofie (it isn't romantic!).

The show wants to mix things up with Aaron/Sofie/Chris/Alison/Casey/Ameera... so don't expect any solid couplings to emerge just yet. Basically what I'm trying to say is you're going to have two core storylines: Aaron/Sofie/Chris, and Alison/Casey/Ameera, with outside forces like Paul and Noah/Luke partaking in the drama. Hooray for rough drafts of scripts :-)

WTF is so special about Sofie that she has 3 guys vying for her attention?

i love it when shows mix things up and do not go for one core couple. because then im being TOLD who to root for and like. but in roder for a miz up like they and amc are trying you need layerd char's with depth.

Who the [!@#$%^&*] is Sofie and why should anyone care about her? Sofie, you are NOTHING to ATWT. You are NOTHING in the history of "As the World Turns." You. mean. NOTHING. NOTHING. You are a NOBODY. GO AWAY. Ditto for Ameera. I don't even think I've seen her onscreen yet.

Honestly, I don't know where this hostility is coming from. Other than the fact that both Sophie and Ameera have the misfortune to have crossed Willen and Nuke's lives. The actresses aren't that bad. ANYONE who remembers Celia knows how bad it could be.

There was a time that Gwen was "nothing" to ATWT's history too. Look how that's changed.

Sometimes I just wish people would lighten up and give some of the newbies a chance. (Yes, I admit, I'm guilty of it too...I thought Austin Peck was awful...) I'm willing to see how Sophie and Ameera grow.

I know it's heresy, but I'd much rather see the group minus Willen. At least these young adults are allowed to be shown in a less than perfect light.

Some group of newbies work, some don't. If soaps didn't constantly add a new set of actors in their teens and 20s the shows would've been dead a long time ago. Imagine if there were boards in the 1980s: i wonder how many people would've complained about how Lily, Holden, Dusty, Meg, etc. were stealing time from the old folks. I would have never imagined that 20+ years later those same characters, including some of the original actors would still be on my TV screen.

Eh, I understand the points that some of yall have made, but at the same time, it annoys the crap out of me that there are characters who have connections to the show that could be used instead. There are characters who would be perfect for the younger set, but I wonder if the writers even think about bringing them back. I'm not asking for them to bring back a character and then spend weeks on end talking about storylines of the past. They just need to reintroduce characters, tell why they've come to town, and then they can go on about their own storylines. It wouldn't be too much of an effort, not too much more than it is to make a whole new character at least.

PJ, I couldn't care less about Nuke or Willen and still don't like Sofie or Ameera. Both are annoying, poorly written characters played by mediocre actresses. I do not wanna see them grow. Especially Sofie. I think they found something good with Alison, Casey and Matt and need to go from there. Look at Bonnie who is getting raves on boards, but gets no storyline. ATWT always finds good talent but never uses it.
