They probably won't cancel all of them. I'm thinking they will probably only cancel two or three at most. Nikita, Gossip Girl and 90210 are the most vulnerable. But I also heard the new president of the CW wants to green light 3-4 new pilots come next fall. So he could be cleaning the board in a risk that his new series are bigger hits.

The stuff w/Naomi last night was brilliantly done - that's the kind of story I like to see!

What's up with Ivy getting a new guy every three episodes? They should've just kept Raj, he was great. This new story she has now is almost the same way her & Raj's story went, only this time they're being brought together by art instead of weed! Oh goodie.

Adrianna & Dixon

Sheila  omg so freaking annoying. Why did they even bring her on? This is such an overdone, typical story. So is the stuff with Annie. All of this is just AWFUL!

Silver and Navid blush.png Still love them.

Im glad Jen is back. It seemed that the show was trying too much to move past old stories but Im glad they brought her back. She should be good

What I realize I hate about this show is how grown they have these kids act. They are still kids, like 18 years old. I rolled my eyes at Naomi starting her own party planning company. Last season we had Dixon and Navid being record producers in high school and Adriana was already a famous celebrity. Now Liam is a becoming a famous hollywod model. I bet Ivy will get discovered next and become a famous artist. These kids are too successful, too early in their life. It makes them very unrelateable. In the original show, the gang was still trying to find themselves and make their way through college with normal struggles and issues. I think Silver is the only one that is still kept grounded. The res is just too much and too over the top

This show has reached rock bottom! Nothing interesting in last nights episode, same ol same ol! How many new guys is Ivy going to get? This is like the 5th boyfriend she's had on this show in a span of 3 seasons. This new guy looks so similar to Raj, why didn't they just keep him? And I'm so over "art" story lines.

Of course Naomi and the rich guy made goo goo eyes at each other. I miss Austin.

Sheila/Adrianna/Dixon/Liam rolleyes.gif BORING and PREDICTABLE!

It was even worse yesterday! The only parts I liked were Silver/Liam getting closer (Wow, this show puts together and breaks up any possible pair don't they?!). I thought they were really adorable. The rest was predictable, boring & a waste of time. But the preview for next weeks episode gave me a little hope, I'm glad the show didn't forget about Raj...looks like something sad is going to happen with him sad.png

WTF?? A random guy approaches Adrianna at the bar & she takes him upstairs and [!@#$%^] him in a heartbeat 5 mins into the premiere episode. Disgusting & it seemed really OOC for her.

I thought they were going to kill Dixon off. That was a really cruel fakeout! It was good to see Lori Loughlin back.

It was basically boring. Nothing much to savor. Not that interested in the Teddy/Silver story; Teddy's looking rough! I can't believe we still have to deal with this dumb Sheila girl obsessing over Liam rolleyes.gif

Naomi/Max were ok. Interesting to see the guy who played Mookie on AMC in a different role.

LOL. I'm not quite sure why I'm still even watching this show, though. I'll see how it goes these next few weeks, sometimes it has really good moments for me.

    • I knew you would be so excited seeing your girl Brookey as #1!!!! She also WINS as to Frequently Married!!!
    • Yes, Stacy does this both for early DAYS & early GH. I have written some for her, for DAYS. But just one tiny point & that is that she only deals with DVDs. I realize that is not the point of your posting but it seemed the right thing to clarify. I know that you know that video tapes is past, not present.
    • Hahahha I think sleeping with almost all of your daughters's boyfriends and husbands and getting pregnant... definitely gives Brooke the right to top 1 place. Long live the whore of Beverly hills.

    • CurlyQGrl has DVDs of some episodes, that they can sell, but that doesn't matter. What is helpful: they describe the scenes on the tapes, so you can read that as recaps without ordering anything. Doesn't really give storylines, though, which is what you asked for.  Here's the links anyhow. full menu https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/menu.html GH page https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/menu.html GH 1960s https://www.angelfire.com/tv/curlyqgrl/gh/eps/gheps1960s.htm
    • I would argue that Another World never played "everything" for laughs. Even when there were comedic scenes in some storylines there were other storylines that were not intended as comedy.  You give 1988 as the end point, and Mary was on the canvas from August 1986 to February 1989, so she must have overlapped with the despised laughs you are referring to at least half of the time she was there. I honestly can't recall any real comedy that Mary would have been part of. I don't think she was lighthearted about choosing between two husbands, MJ's prostitution, Kathleen's death, or even her son Scott dating her daughter Cheryl.  I would have said that the amount of comedy depended on the head writer and there was more comedy under Richard Culliton and Gary Tomlin in 1984 than subsequent headwriters. I guess there was an outbreak of more comedy when Cecile kidnapped Cass from his wedding in 1986, but in general the Sin Stalker wasn't presented as funny, Mitch's return wasn't funny, John's arrival wasn't funny, Reginald wasn't funny. The tone was serious even if the plots verged on the ludicrous. And maybe that's what you mean -- but I would make a distinction between intentional comedy and storylines I can't take seriously for other reasons.
    • I'm excited for us to get back to a full weeks worth of episodes and also us beginning to move into the episodes filmed once the show premiered. We're already starting to see changes in the lighting and the way certain characters are styled. Of course we know this week we have our first recast as well. After the big Eva reveal, I hope the show continues to move into a positive direction and that we see them starting to fix some of the things we've all had issues with.
    • It seems like they may have been going in one direction for Andre and then changed their mind. He had this player/bachelor thing going at first where he was messing with Dani, seemed to be feeling Eva, and then somehow smitten by bland Ashley of all people. I feel like Ashley was supposed to be the one that finally made him want to be with someone and settle. The way he talked her up in those earlier episodes was really confusing. The wonderful, amazing nurse Ashley and conveniently she's unattainable because she has a partner, but he can't stop thinking of her and takes these busted pics of her. It was a mess. However, it all seems to have been dropped. I honestly feel like Andre can go. That may be an unpopular opinion but I don't need his breathy final syllable to be content with BTG. It's always like "There's gotta be another wh-ahyy"
    • This is where McLaibey falls apart. It becomes clear that McTavish had not thought past Brent/Marion...so the energy drops and she starts throwing things at the wall (Blakes twins, Lonatrat.)   Fans HATED this funeral. Everyone is mad at everyone else, which is fine, the death of a beloved community figure would give people a reason to come together...(Quint and Nola could come together at least for  a bit to support each other, Nola and VAn could finally admit they kinda, sorta like each other) Its just an example of McTavish's mean writing.   I have a feeling they were going to make Dahlia Frank's kid but they chickened out. Making Tina a prostitute didn't help, they could have been lovers when they were young but felt society pressure to part. Marcus took over David's role (you can't have two young black men at that time...)   Get used to it...this will happen, the same storyline over and over until the end.
