Members dragonflies
So with the news Toups broke of Hogan and most of his writing staff being fired. Do you think Hogan would be a good fit at AMC?
Members aMLCproduction
Based on what he did at Days, I'd say no. But then again, I guess it depends what kind of AMC you want, and can he tell it? I like to hear what people got to say about this...
Members Y&RWorldTurner
If he comes to AMC, watch Greenlee become even more of the 'It Girl" for the show, like Katie was at ATWT and Sami was at DAYS.... I know you'd like that, Angie.
Members leevo64
Based on some of the stuff I saw while he was writing ATWT, I would love for him to do AMC. He could reinvent Erica Kane (in a good way), work out some REAL umbrella storylines and bring the show a little more down to earth. I wouldn't say that DAYS is a testament to his talent, there was definitely something going on behind the scenes there.
Members KLN
I think he would be an awesome fit at AMC. He would also be great at OLTL.
Members jcar03
Agreed. I have never thought Sheffer was really allowed to go what he wanted at DAYS, that isn't an excuse for the terrible start of 07 we had. If Sheffer was allowed some freedom I think he could fit in anywhere.
Members aMLCproduction
Kenny,(if you read this) I think He would fit better at OLTL then AMC for some reason. I just find it hard or could not picture him writing AMC.
Members DeeeDee
If Hogan writes for AMC Erica will be jumping out of courtroom windows in no time.

Members dragonflies
Ahhh but I LOVED Katie when he was writing for ATWT, not saying I'll ever love GB I LOVED ATWT when he wrote for it. I never missed an episode....
Members AddictedToSoaps
Good idea for a thread! I was just thinking about this earlier today when I read about the DAYS news. I don't think Hogan would be a good fit for AMC. I watched ATWT when he was writing and to me the stories were nothing special. And from what I've heard, he wasn't great at DAYS. However I'm only judging him based on his work on other shows, he very well could work wonders for AMC. Same here - and that's another reason of why I don't think he's right for AMC. Members juppiter
Whatever keeps him off ATWT.... I hope some of his crew that were fired from DAYS will come back though. I liked a lot of them.
Members Port Oak Valley
I think Hogan would be fit at AMC, however wasnt he offered the job a few years ago, but turned them down because he wanted full control of storylines and didnt want Frons butting in? Members Quent
Hogan's first year at ATWT was brilliant, with great umbrella storylines and beefed-up roles for longtime bacburners (Colleen Pinter's Barbara went from pouring coffee to being the lynchpin of the show). But after that first year, he had a LOT of clunkers, failed new characters and plots that went nowhere. He was basically a one-year wonder.
