Hey, don't bash the Palms! I'm aware that it was complete and utter superficial trash, but I ate up every single bite. Michael Cassidy made the show for me, and I adored the way he played up his character's underlying attraction to Taylor Handley. I'd be the only one in line to buy the DVD, but I'd be content!

And yeah, I get what you're saying about the music, but what I notice is that they use the predictable, iconic 70s songs. The sex scenes could use some Silver Convention or First Choice!

I loved episode 3. What was interesting was the reaction of Janet's husband to the implication of Susan and her husband swinging... The only thing I didn't like was poor Janet finding that Killjoy picture of herslef on the wall. I knwo adults, especially in party situations can behave as badly as teenagers but would someone actually have drawn that?

Another great episode--I particularly liked that it was Trina's HUSBAND who got jealous of the guy she was with--her old BF and not the more typical story of Trina gettign jealous first.

A bit too obvious how they shipped off the son for camp so they wouldn't have to show his story

I missed it two weeks ago (I think it had to do with the gang at a cabin?).

I thought last week's episode with Harry Reems was okay but I agree that it was sometimes too obvious.

This week's episode was the best so far. I love how Janet keeps evolving. She's easily my favorite character on the show.

Susan & Bruce seem headed for a breakup as she starts living her own life. I think you were right and Susan is going to hook up with Roger at some point. I loved how Susan paid for the gift certificate so Janet wouldn't know they couldn't afford it.

The menage a trois was more interesting since it was Trina's old high school boyfriend than it would have been with some random guy. I also loved that Tom was the jealous one when the threesome occurred. Now I'm wondering if Bruce will end up having one with them if/when Susan does leave him.

I was glad that the teens weren't around. Imo, the show is much better without them. Now if only they would take Laurie & her former teacher off with them...

Yay aSTeve is still watching and likes them :D

At first I was worried that Janet wasn't subtle enough, but I love hwo they've been writing her character and her friendship with Susan--I'm also glad that they didn't go with the cliche of her being jealous and hating Trina for more than a few eps. The Cabin ep was kinda the switch episode for that but even gettign her to eat pot brownies was done in a way that it made sense--I think the actress plays a big part--she's really great even with some thankless lines like the ep one over cleaning "this place is a pigstye" one

What bugged me about the Haryr Reams ep--well one thing was the song ended with I Am WOman Hear Me Roar. Now I'm hardly anti porn (...) and I don't think it's necesarily mysogynistic but it just seemed odd,.

Well another, solid episode. I dunno I kinda wish a bit more had happened just because I'm worried about ratings--but next week's looks like more of a "big" episode. I did love many of the moments between characters (even for the first time the daughter and the teacher) but not so keen on the implied affair...
