Members MarkH
Investigation is fine. I get nervous about bandying about that "scab" label in the absence of evidence, since it can be such a lingering taint. I realize you personally did not use this label here. Members Sylph
I am very careful with labelling - e.g. I think I only called one writer a hack (Lynn Latham), even though many others deserve the same title. I don't want to accuse people without evidence and I'm not here to ruin people's careers, but I think the Guild should resolve these matters. And fast! Immediately. Members JackPeyton
Is this the same - Tracey Thomson who writes on 'Night Shift'?
Members dm.
Yes, it's the same person. She's also been writing for GH since 2005 or 2006.
Members R Sinclair
ROTFLMAO! I read that too quick and thought that said "Night Stick."
Members DaytimeFan
So in regards to Janice Ferri Esser...did B&B simply do away with the story consultant position? On the B&B website Jerry Birn is listed as an AHW while JFE is titled Writer...it's a very recent credit list, Kay Alden is listed as Co-HW. Members Sylph
She is just a scriptwriter now.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
Is Janice Ferri Esser back at Y&R? This comes from Jeanne Cooper's latest interview, and she mentions that Janice Ferrari wrote an upcoming episode/storyline. I assume Ferrari is really Ferri, and they've just misspelled it, and Cooper said that Janice Ferrari was a writer on the show back in its "heyday." http://michaelfairmansoaps.com/article/art...s_article_id=
Members AddictedToSoaps
Hmm, that's interesting.
Members DaytimeFan
That certainly is interesting...perhaps Janice exercised that option in her contract to write for both shows! If so I say terrific, I loved her stuff on Y&R and have enjoyed her scripts at B&B as well.
Members Soapsuds
Janice Ferri has been with Y&R since 1989. That was her maiden name. When she got married it was Ferri Esser. I just checked the 1996 credits and its says Janice Ferri.
Administrator Toups Posted August 9, 2008 Author Administrator Share Posted August 9, 2008 On Monday's episode, Scott Hamner is listed under Hogan. I guess he's back as Co-HW? Or maybe it was just a mistake? Guess I'll find out Monday when I watch Tuesday's US episode.
Members Y&RWorldTurner
If it's true that Bradley wasn't impressed with her work and let her go, she might be back on only Y&R alone. If not, I guessed she exercised that option in her contract. Jeanne Cooper wouldn't lie about a writer, so I guess Janice came back to Y&R rather abruptly. I guess we'll be seeing her first episode back later this month or early next month.
Members DaytimeFan
Janice is still listed as a Script Writer on B&B's website (which has been recently updated to reflect Kay Alden's promotion). Remember how Thom Racina was saying the Y&R writing staff was sort of in a crunch and that he'd been writing extra scripts, I wonder if perhaps MAB didn't reach out to Janice knowing that she had that option in her contract?
