Which Soap has the largest cast in all of Daytime?

My guess would be 1 of the ABC soaps.

Anyone know for a fact which soap has the largest cast?

General Hospital has the largest cast.

I would say ATWT is high up there, not that you would ever know that they have a big cast, but still.

Based only on contract:

GH: 33

OLTL: 28

Y&R: 28

ATWT: 27

DAYS: 27

AMC: 26

GL: 25

PSNS: 17

B&B: 16

You add in the recurring players and GH is well above everyone else. I have GH down for 27 recurring players but that includes the kids who are technically considered under five but it was still be over 20.

17 actors on contract as of December 07, +8 adult recurrings not including the child actors for Hope, RJ, Alexandria and Abby.

AMC has a big cast, but yeah I think GH has one of the biggest

well, as far as contract cast from GH to contract cast to NS, only what... 4 people went? aside from Kim, Jason, Steve, & Kirsten wasnt everyone else on contract at NS new hires or recurring on GH?

and Kent. She's contract. Most of the cast was GH recurring characters and thats my point. GH has alot of recurring characters and they arent simply small roles but ones they use regularly and have some substance to them.

GH can trim their cast by getting rid of Sonny, Sam/Brenda, Lucky, Maxie, Carly, little Mikey the devil child, Logan

This way, they would also be able to afford Jackie Zeman

oh, yes i agree. GH does have a solid recurring cast they use. i just wish they also used everyone on contract like that.

I left off Patrick Duffy for B&B which would bring their total to 17. I also went to cbs.com to watch the end credits, the last day last week that ran them was Wednesday, and they leave off two people entirely:
