Kirsten Storms & Sean Kanan busted for DUI

Lol where was this three ton truck? As for as I know she was driving a small car.

And until this truck or w/e vehicle you're talking about HITS someone and kills them where exactly is this heinous crime you guys keep accusing me of being blase about?

Its a DUI. IF she hit someone then its manslaughter. But she didn't hit someone. Hence its not that serious. Don't see whats warped about it. You're just intent on making this a huge deal when it really isn't in the grand scheme of things.

Thats all I'm gonna say about it. I never said drinking and driving was a great activity. Nor did I say I want people to get killed. Try to remember that while you're handing your judgements out like God.

I'm so sorry I misstated and said three tons. Even just a ton is more than enough. And the fact that she got into the car drunk is enough. Just the possibility of taking a life is reason enough why its a crime and shouldn't be excused just because she was pulled over before she killed someone, or herself.

I hope to God that you don't ever lose someone to an act like this, like some people have. Maybe then you will know why they feel the way they do.

And I don't think I'm God. I just know that I have a heart and actually feel.

You should try it sometime.

Oh so I don't have a heart now because I don't think all drunk drivers are assholes? Great logic there. Sorry but if someone kills someone that doesn't automatically mean they're going to hell or that they're the worst person on the Earth.

As for the people in this thread who have lost someone to drunk driving I don't know who they are and what the circumstances are. Nor do I wish to know (unless they feel like they have to tell me). However suffice to say that I do feel sorry for the victims of accidents caused by drunk driving.

I guess I'm just able to separate the two things. Drunk Driving is one thing. The things that it MAY lead to are another. Thats just my personal opinion. Theres no need to fight about it. I've said my part and thats it. KS is not the person that killed all the previous people in all drunk driving incidents in the past and to treat her like such just because of this one accident seems a lil unfair to me. To call her to lose her livelyhood seems a bit unfair as well. Thats all I was saying.

A car IS a weapon. A reckless one at that. All it takes is one second. It weighs how many tons?

Logistically, approximately 50 people will die today in an alcohol related accident. 50! That's 50 lives that could be spared if people cared about being responsible.

Past behaviour is the best indicator of future behaviour. I hope she learns from it. I'm glad it's focused on because hopefully every horrible mistake people do saves 100 lives.

A DUI doesn't make her a bad person, it makes her an irresponsible one. It doesn't define her, but it is a crime and it is serious.

Please don't bring God into this. Besides the fact that I don't belive in God, it's just insulting. It's not about handing out judgement, it's about demanding responsibility from someone who whether they like it or not HAVE entered into a business where they are noticed. Of course there's a line. Of course they should have privacy. A DUI is a matter of public record though.

It's just so frakking sad that people don't give a damn about other people anymore. Everything I said about KS goes of Kanan as well. Drunk driving is drunk driving.

Another Soap Star Busted for DUI

Former "General Hospital" and "The Bold and the Beautiful" star Sean Kanan was busted by LAPD last month on suspicion of DUI.

Kanan, who starred as Ralph Macchio's nemesis in "Karate Kid III," posted $30,000 bail after he was busted during the wee hours of August 18. He was charged with two counts: driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol of .08 or greater.

He is due back in court on September 17 and faces a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine, per count. Since Kanan was convicted of DUI in 1998, a second DUI carries a minimum jail sentence of 96 hours.

A rep for Kanan had no comment.

When called for comment, John Kreese said, "Sweep the leg!"

While I have zero sympathy for Kirsten Storms, this is even more appalling for Sean Kanan as he has acknowledged that he had issues with substance abuse. It is rumored he was let go from GH because of it. (It was a case of art imitating life for him then, apparently, since AJ was an alcoholic, too.) To know he STILL has not gotten his act together saddens me.

Especially now that he has a child to think of.

OK this is random but it amused me that when I clicked on this thread the targeted google ads at the top of the page were all for criminal lawyers and a DUI expungement service.

What is so hard about calling a cab or a friend to pick you up? These people make mega bucks so surely they can pay for cab fare and I am sure they have friends that would be willing to come and get them. Ugh. Truly appalling.

Kirsten Storms, Sean Kanan, nor anyone else should drive drunk. BUT, Kirsten Storms should NOT lose her job because of this DUI (and this is coming from a person who doesn't like Kirsten Storms much as the ho Maxie Pad). She made a mistake and should pay a fine, get jailtime, get a license suspension for a certain amount of time etc. Same goes for Sean Kanan. I also agree Sean should even know more better because 1) he's acknowledged a substance abuse problem, 2) he's potrayed 2 characters who've had alcohol problems and 3) he's in his mid-thirties.

There is NO excuse for getting behind the wheel, NONE, nothing ever excuses idiocy like that. When you get behind the wheel of a car while intoxicated you are making the choice to put other people's lives in danger

For this I despise Kirsten Storms. There's no excuse in the world for this. Stupid stupid little girl! <_<

About Sean Kanan. Well he's just a dumba$$. imo

Our prisons already have people who don't really need to be in jail, but people who commit DUI's should be.

I'm sorry, but I don't consider people who commit DUI's to be petty criminals. Maybe you would feel differently if you've lost friends and/or family to drunk drivers (as I have), so I don't expect you to see things my way.

It's a conscious decision to get behind the wheel and drive. Kirsten and I are around the same age, with all the don't drink and drive programs that people around our age has been to, there is NO excuse for her to be doing that. The girl's got money, she could call for a cab or have someone take her home. All it takes it one mistake and lives could be lost.

<_<

Exactly. Lane Garrison (Prison Break) anyone??!!
I can't belive you just said that. Seriously. The fact that she DIDN'T kill someone or herself is a miracle. Point is she MADE that decision, and the fact that she did and either didn't know the danger of it or didn't care is worrysome, as it is with every DUI that happens, every single day.
Ohh Linny, I so agree with you! I fee sick just reading the post you quoted.
What does a star posing nude in the past have to do with anything? Posing nude is not a crime nor is it dangerous and wreckless in that it potentially endanger lives. I dont see how that can be compared to DUI. If action were to be taken, bc of hte DUI, I think its in a whole other category than having done nude shots or porn in the past and I could understand that. I dont think either is grounds for dismassal from the show for similar yet different reasons
I was just going to post something like that. Lesli Kay did erotic scenes/soft porn or what ever people wanna call it. And as you're saying, it's not a freakin crime to pose nude like Kelly Monaco. It's a crime to drink and drive which could lead to someone death. Pretty big difference to me. I can't believe there's people who think it's worst to pose nude one time then to drink and drive. You can't kill someone if you take of your clothes infront of a camera!
