I love the actress and hints of the role--unfortunately she stinks of many fo the probs common to characters Dena Higley created-basically kinda inherently dull and directionless... But I sense that's changing now :D In some ways she remidns me of female characters Malone created in his mid 90s glory days

Sophia was a good character until they had her fall for Antonio, and he wasn't even interested back. Can't work at the police station unless you're being romantically lined up or already involved with a cop (Roseanne, Natalie). Marcie being the exception. Watch when Talia gets into a relationship with him she's suddenly going to compromise her job in all sorts of ways to "protect" Antonio.

Yes, I love Sophie to no end... until the Antonio mess. Then they wrote her like a love sick fool, which I hated because there was more to her. The mess with her and Roseanne, fighting for Antonio's boring affections caused me to begin my hate of the character. And though I like Talia, I have a feeling the character will suffer at the hands of Antonio, just like all the other female characters before her that get involved with him (or near him).

OH yes! I am loving her too, I hope they keep her as tongue-boyish and not too girly-girly like they've been doing in the past few days. She's much more interesting when she doesn't seem obsessed with her appearance as are most women on the show.

I find both the character & actress to be dreadfully boring. Poor Antonio is gonna sink further into a bottomless pit with Talia as his oh-so-obvious love interest. The actor who portrays Antonio deserves far better than Talia lovin'. Why they they write something really good for Antonio. The man can act.

    • I admit...I too thought of Penny and Good Times at that ending with SilkPress.
    • Yes, just so.  Thanks for the info. I could tell this was going to be a big thing with ShawnD in this danger! Especially love that the little guy is Andrew!
    • I think the shocker would be if he's NOT playing Dumas. That's where Josh Griffith plays most of his stories. Now they have Cole "self-isolating" because they don't want to put up that hospital set. Will Cole cough himself to death at the GCAC? What a "storyline." I can't believe how much JG is playing with us regarding Nick and Sharon. The teasing has become pathetic, especially for Shick fans who want them back together. My guess is that he'll reveal his real name once he is exposed.
    • Maybe we'll meet Leslie's mama who'll be a former Articulette and they'll build the rival family from there that a lot of people seem to think is missing. It'd make sense considering Anita's been hammering on about going on tour and reviving her music career.
    • hahaha at the Brennan shade.   But even I saw this and have to agree. What's really sad is that some of the person on that list could easily have a love interest that is on the canvas. They just need to be written for.
    • The thought has crossed my mind. Tricia Mann-Grant did say in her EW interview w/ MVJ and DD, that Leslie wants to be a Dupree just as bad as she wants Eva to be. I believe now that's the direction they are going in, that maybe she is just obsessed with the family. I could be wrong though.
    • True. But I have always had mixed feelings about that twist. Since I love the Damian storyline which already had twists and turns. Also I could not wait for a new powerful AND BLACK businessman to mix it up at some point with Victor. It just seem like another twist that was added on for twist sake. And also for a character (whether I love him or not) to hijack a new and refreshing storyline so they can be propped.    Once good thing that I can say about JG is that he loves to keep the Abbotts in rotation. So I could see that happening with Diane. I don't think she has mentioned her backstory, either. I would be intrigued.
    • That's how I feel. Beats could have been played for the past couple months wherein Dante and Gio interacted and had a difference of opinion -- or something. I don't know. I do know that this crushing rant that blames everything on Gio is absurd. -- Reading over all the comments here about characters and couples, it's kind of amazing that we have any show left considering the number of times actors and writers and execs were given influence to make major character and story decisions. Too many cooks in the kitchen.
