I'm not sure about Berrettini's prospects for a career with few injuries, in any case, it seems like the ATP WTF are his personal bugaboo. Despite reaching the RG final, Stefanos has not had a very good year, if we were to compare it to previous years.

I don't know if it's the result of this prolonged pandemic but the past two seasons have produced some indifferent results for me.

Some people refer to Badosa as Sharapova-lite, lol.

Really?

Sakkari realizes she is not running into bad luck but just choking in big moments.  Really good self assessment, which may help her.

I'm almost positive Kontaveit is taking that trophy and was only playing with Mugu the other night.  She had nothing to lose so why tire herself out in that match.

Although, those calling Badosa "Sharapova-lite" are likely using the term as a pejorative, unlike here, where Bouchard is most likely using the comparison in a complimentary way.

In other news it looks like Roger is done.

He says it's unlikely he'll play Wimbledon this year.

He says he won't have a meltdown if he never plays a match again.

Years ago, when the WTA head honchos seemed determined to become tie the financial fortunes of the Tour to China, I found that super worrying, given their human rights history. One or two tournaments was one thing but tying nearly the entire Asian swing to one country was always going to be dicey at best.
