So ESPN commented about the weird relationship between Novak and Posipsil.

Novak made it complicated at the end, but he still the most clutch athlete I’ve ever seen.

This is fun stuff. They’ve had each other’s numbers. They haven’t wanted to talk much about each other in interviews or be too warm and fuzzy. A sizzling little rivalry.

Leylah’s problem solving is top notch.

Chrissie is spot on. They just want to beat each other.

Emma drew first blood. I want this to go three sets.

No one gives a fück about Tim Henman. Why are they talking to him in the middle of play?

Emma is too powerful for Leylah.

IMO Leylah is gassed right now and is playing an opponent who isn’t intimidated by her (or scared to lose to a teenager). Emma also takes a lot of her time away.

Emma should've used a towel to clean it and go back. This time out is ridiculous

It’s just unfortunate. Leylah still looks PISSED. I would be too.

It's in the rules. The umpire has to stop play if a player is bleeding.

Anyway, congratulations to Emma Raducanu. First British female player to win a singles title in a major since Virginia Wade won Wimbledon in 1977.

I know. It’s unfortunate. I’d still be pissed, even if I couldn’t do anything about it. It’s a sucky turn of events when Leylah had all the momentum.

What an incredible match! Obviously wished Leylah won but Emma was almost unstoppable, making very few mistakes.  Leylah’s serve just wasn’t very good, and Emma was just too powerful.  And it looked Iike playing 4 tough 3-setters finally took a toll on Leylah.  Emma bleeding was bad such timing after Leylah got to that break time.  But what an amazing story for Emma. A qualifier won a grand slam.  Insane.  I’m definitely going to be rooting for these two in the future.
