Actually she was pod when she was with chris also and I think most j/e fans will agree with that. The only two men I can't stand with erica are jack and chris. I used to like j/e when I was younger but I grew up and realized how childish they were and how walt really is not leading male material. Funny how I grew up and they didn't. LMAO

LOL, even I said that. I love how my words always get minced. And since I only think she's POD with Jack, strange that I've thought she was POD since the drinking stuff during her ruse with David. Hmmm. Yeah, whatever. I know, I'm the bad guy. Out to smear J&E every chance I get. Okay. LMFAO

I was watching a clip on YouTube the other day of when Bianca told Erica about the rape.....

It dawned on me. Erica as a character hasn't had anything as deep as that writing since then.

I want depth more than anything and if the writing for Jack and Erica had depth I'd probably enjoy it but it has no depth what so ever. I really didn't get all giddy for their reunion because A it was plain as day the minute this new divorce started it was going to happen and B I just didn't get invested in the build up so how on earth could I see pay off in that.

That's sort of what I mean. All of her material is fluff or supporting. Even her drinking was made into something lame with the Desiree Dubios stuff. Actually, her drinking, and her running on her own made sense, both at the same time, not so much. I remember just before MD left they were getting into the nitty grity RF stuff with Erica and Vanessa. Vanessa witnessing RF rape Erica and what not. That scene was so amazing, and I hoped we'd get something really amazing from that. But fizzled. Even New Beginnings and the few episodes they did with all those guests were lame filler stuff. Erica has been depthless for awhile now. And I think the more depth Erica has, the less childish she is. Erica and Greenlee after Leo's death was wonderful.

When I say she's pod, I don't mean it's something new, and I don't think it's all just because of Jack and her "family". That's fueling it, but she's been POD to some degree since Bianca was raped.

LOL - ok I hate to say this to y'all - but Erica totally had depth when she found out Josh was her son during the Mardi Gras explosion storyline. The entire thing with Dr. Madden - that day when she went off on him and then Jack in her office about how he violated her body.

You totally just threw gasoline on the fire

Whatever "depth" any of that had.... was trumped by how insulting and completely damaging the character's history that plotline truly was. Sorry Andy.

Leave it you though to totally spin everything AMC does in a positive light. alwaysAMC to the bitter end and I respect that :)

Haha - thanks. Yeah, I knew with you and Kylie especially, it would be like throwing gas on the fire....lol. I had to use it though as an example - as horrible a rewrite it was - she still had depth. You can't deny that in an objective light.

I think Annie is tripping. Ryan is trying his best and finally starting to see where she's coming from which is why he cut Greenlee off. I wish Annie had heard him out and realized that he's 100% devoted to her and trying to put Greenlee behind him the best he can.

I wanted to smack the smugness off of Greenlee's face. I always want to smack her. I hate that Kendall is becoming friends with her again. She shouldnt trust the witch.

I hate the New Divorce story but the best part of it is defiently Pam. I love her and hope she sticks around even after its all done

I've seen that clip, wasn't depth, was common sense. That was the one moment of realism in this entire [!@#$%^&*] fest. That was at the same time that Joe was trying to crawl up Greg's ass thinking he was God and wonderful. Don't throw "depth" and Madden at me. ;)

Erica was okay to me until they had her sleep with Jeff, the character's been doing nonsensical or/and annoying fluff since (including that). I don't even want to remember how much months back that went. I just want an Erica back that is not acting less mature than Colby and Ava. The story isn't doing anything for Jack as well, this divorce thing is a 2 week story that went on way, way too long.

The last story Lucci had that had real depth, that gave her meat to chew on, was the Michael Cambias fall-out - May 2003 - April 2004. She's had moments of getting to be in story that she can act like an adult in since, but really just moments. And OMG since the Jeff ride, she's had 13-year old written all over her. At this point one of the primary reasons I'm looking forward to this B&E story coming up is because Erica probably will finally act like an adult for a few weeks of episodes, I hope. I'm aching to see her in something that isn't "harmless" but really ridiculous fluff. I have nothing against J/E staying together forever but not if this is the crap they're going to pass off as good couple story.

    • See, I imagine it as some kind of "private" room within a bigger casino.
    • I like Nicole for several reasons, she has all the good attributes and qualities of a good person. You have to be a huge hater to dislike someone like her. I consider Dani an underdog. She had a lot to live up to and she hasn't contributed to the family name imo. Naomi and Martin seem to had more flourishing careers than she has.  She might've had a long marriage, but Bill cheated on her left and right. I am sure they had some good times, but I wouldn't call it a great marriage or anything to brag about. She modeled for what 2/3 years? That's not that successful, especially if she didn't pivot to something more lucrative. And that is the real reason she plays momanger cause she is living through Chelsea. Dani is nothing without her family name. Nicole doesn't need the Dupree; she made her own mark! And that's what you should do when you're born with privilege, flip that [!@#$%^&*]! The opportunity is there for the writers to play up her insecurities and resentment issues, but will they? There must've been a reason for her to choose Bill over someone with more status, or coming from another wealthy family. Right?  I don't expect everyone to understand her, but I do, and probably would've made her a more screw up and didn't amount to much outside having some kids.  The lack of crossover from the in-laws always bothered me, too. I hope at some point we get some family dinners. I know it's not earth-shattering entertainment, but I'm a sucker for those scenes. And you can still move the story along, too! I forgot all about my boo Jacob, and he was on today. He, for some reason, reminds me of Garfield the cat!

You're right about that hetero bio son Dupree, though.
    • The casino set needs to be upgraded or needs to go. Why would anyone rich spend their time in the wood paneled 1960’s room instead of just playing cards in what I assume is the normal nice looking casino area.
    • It wasn't his first appearance, though; per the end credits, he is a principal guest star (a.k.a. recurring).
    • Vanessa was flirty with Smitty, and it was weird. Smitty didn't think anything about it was cute or fun. The sex talk between Cody and Vanessa at Orphey Gene's? Also weird af. We needed either a longer scene or another scene to make any of that work. Vanessa is coming off like a nymphomaniac. Forced for plot convenience, just as it was when we saw Eva (HUH???) in that casino backroom. Sorry, none of this casino stuff works. I thought the same thing -- I enjoyed all the different character groupings, but the dialogue was not natural and didn't flow. Yep, kinda weird. I don't get it. Of course, I also don't get the discussion of not having Doug as the surgeon. Is he the only doctor anyone trusts? Then we have June's entire heart procedure talked about, performed, and over within 20 minutes of screen time. -- Cady McClain gives us a different variation of that accent every time she appears. The dialogue between Pamela and Dani is too cute by half. -- BTG, please stop mentioning Martin's run for the presidency. -- I hope we're not going to see Ted soften towards Dana and be taken in by her line of bull. She just blew up his life, and I don't want to see him sympathize with her in any way.
    • Agree.  But I would describe him as being disappointed not bitter.
    • >>><<< Great minds!  Kat certainly does prove that point. She's been given a lot to work with, so we shouldn't be bored of her anytime soon. I am interested in all her storylines at the moment, and curious how the show will use the affair to impact her romances and business stories. Well, what movie was it? Cause… I noticed it too. The first couple of seconds of the song were slightly different. OMG! Great call, precisely the same situation.
    • I think Kin was dissatisfied at GH in as much as Scotty had been pushed aside for Luke/Laura and the writing was doing him no favors as Scotty was now seen as an obstacle to their romance. So with his contract up he was offered big $$$ to move to Texas, which you can't blame him for. In addition to the money, I recall he was promised that Jeb would be a more dynamic character than Scotty. The money came through but not the story, so  don't blame him for being  slightly bitter.

    • A random thought - June is related to Hayley AND Tyrell and Samantha. Hayley and June are sisters separated when young. Years later June's children Ty and Sam end up being adopted into the Dupree family, coincidentally giving Hayley a further link to that family.
