I love Eileen and will enjoy watching her on B&B but she will never win an emmy for her work on B&B. Had Corday gotten ahold of her in time though, there's no doubt she'd have the material playing the phenomenal Kristen and Susan to get an emmy nom again.

I'm still not over those awful, cheap shoes they showed at the beginning.

I'm excited Ashley is on B&B, as I've never seen her on Y&R, but wasting her with Rick is a disgrace. Ashley vs. Phoebe! WTF?!

When the interviews spoke of Ashley's connection with a character currently on canvas were they talking about Rick? (Is that what we are supposed to be think by the ending?) If so does that mean that she and Rick are going to be "involved"? And what company is Rick involved in, that's the fragrance company?

I think from the looks of things Ashley is going to be VERY interesting on B&B. My problem is that she's being paired wiht that dud Rick and willl be competing with a girl 30 years younger than her for this idiot.

Why couldn't they pair Ashley with a mature man the other characters care about? Imagine if she were with Ridge, Thorne or even Eric! It would shake up the entire canvas, leave opportunities for rivalries and everything! But Rick? Everyone will be happy to get him away from Phoebe. BORING.

I also would love them to find a way to have Felicia vs Ashley. Maybe they could fight for Thorne? The show needs some non-Forrester men!

Rick is involved in the international branch of the Forrester company, which is why he was in Paris. They're just branching out to do a fragrance line now.

I hope Felicia doesn't fight for Thorne! :o lol

It would have been interesting if they'd just recast Kristen with ED. Obviously that would've been strange and they can do more with her not being related to the Forrester men, but ED resembles TLM and we could've had two strong sisters going against each other.

I'll discuss whatever I please, Ron.

People cross-discuss in threads all the time. We weren't even discussing Days, anyway. In fact, I don't think that the word "Days" or "Kristen" even came up once. I simply said that I watched, gritted my teeth and screamed insults at Corday. That's about four Days-related words. Cry me a [!@#$%^&*] river.

Meanwhile, you policing all threads as hall monitor is what's getting old with me. You never do this with anyone except the Days fans, despite the fact that other soaps come up in different threads all the time. Give it up, I'm not going to bend for you. Again, I WILL DISCUSS WHATEVER THE HELL I WANT. Get used to it.

    • I also like how they've set up all the pieces where they could do yet another "shocking Gio parentage reveal" in another year or so if they want to. Because it's not at all implausible that teenage BLQ would have sexually experimented with both Dante and Cody. So if they want another violin-smashing moment next year, just have Gio find out that Cody is his real bio-dad.
    • I agree, also am able to see various points of view. Lulu, Lois & I think the two of them are going to rival one another for the heat they are going to take.
    • When you think about it, someone who stayed on for as long as Devon must have some fans out there. She also had an alcohol issue. I saw a host of episodes with her and Cliff on YouTube. I wanna say that’s who Cliff was entertaining while Nina had the affair with Steve.  Do you believe she lasted so long because Brooke left and they kept recasting Nina?

    • Thanks again @Paul Raven  It shows you just what a unique and memorable performer Denise Alexander was that I can see her in these moments and hear her even though I've never watched any of the material. On paper it probably wasn't up to much, but I do wish I could see her playing it. Meanwhile, the Diana material continues to seem like one plate of ass after another...I was thinking she had finally been able to move on with the therapy breakthrough, but then we're right back with her believing Peter and Leslie are having an affair. I don't know how much further off the material is that made Valerie Starrett leave, but I can't blame her.  I see less and less of Jessie anywhere in this - is this when Emily's health troubles were starting to phase her out of story? Going a few summaries back, writing out Lee, Caroline, her son and his wife seems so rushed. It's a shame Marland, or whoever, killed off all of them (aside from Lee), as they might have given Lee some story down the line. Or maybe the daughter-in-law survived too - I can't remember.
    • Thanks!  I compiled the list and posted it for the 59th anniversary in November, but just made the updates now for the couple of new cast members we've had since then! Didn't realize until I did the update that Peyton is the first-ever contract actor born in Nevada, so that's another state off the 0 list!
    • What I love about this story is that I can empathize with both Lulu's point of view AND Lois's point of view. I can understand why Lulu thinks it's important for the truth to come out and why she feels a moral obligation to let Dante know he has a son. But these good intentions have gotten all mixed up with her hatred for BLQ, and so she's going about it like a self-righteous bully who hasn't thought through all the consequences of this reveal. And I can understand Lois's thought process keeping this secret. She couldn't bear to give her grandson away to strangers, and so she arranged an adoption that kept him in the family. From her perspective, it's worked out beautifully because as Gio grew up as a "Palmieri cousin", he got to know his father Dante, his mother Brook Lynn, and his grandfather Sonny. She just had the hubris to believe that she could play God and keep the secret forever.  Maybe it's just getting to see Cynthia Watros and Laura Wright in full-on catfight mode a few days ago, but the show is starting to remind me of Guiding Light in its heyday, where most of the drama comes from the interactions of long-running characters who are likeable in some ways but have enough fatal flaws that they create their own problems. That's a sharp contrast for the way GH has generally been written since the JFP era, where most of the drama comes from external threats: supervillians, Sweeps month disasters, the mob shootout of the week.
    • Wow, @JAS0N47, that list of states was impressive! And I never knew that James Read hailed from near me! (I was born and raised in a nearby city, about 15 minutes away!) (Liked him since he played Murphy Michaels on Remington Steele when I was a kid. As an older kid, I also loved him on North and South!)
    • Oh, I remember this vividly! So trippy to see Mike Brady as a devil-worshiping judge. LOL! (With the mustache and curly hair in some pics, Reed seemed to have a surface resemblance to early-Jeopardy Alex Trebek!)
    • This makes Karen, now this & a guy on Facebook named Brent Costel. Sony is really deleting so many files.
