Today was kind of weird. We only saw Craig/Dusty/Meg/Emily/Lucinda/Susan () and Eliot.

All I can say is that KMH was friggin' AWESOME today!! Loved her scenes with Dusty, Eliot, and Susan. BTW, glad to see Susan.

Also liked seeing a little 'history' mentioned (since we all know J.P. has no concept of ATWT's history).....when Emily mentioned Diego.

Meg/Craig are just....Bleh! They seriously have no chemistry whatsoever!! And you can tell the writers are really wanting this to be their "go-couple". LAME!!

KMH gave another outstanding performance today. She is an actress that can really bring it when she is given the right material. She proves in the right scenes that she is just as good as many of the A players in soaps.

I am really starting to like Emily and Dusty.

Good show today for the drama.

All I can say is KMH is totally great, those scenes were while disgusting at times, very well done and extremely well acted, near the end with Dusty and Emily in the room and that song being played on Meg and Craig's radio I found myself crying. I kind of liked how they basically just showed the one storyline today, kind of different, I also liked how it went from night to morning. I wish they would do this kind of show for more of the characters, this makes two times now that a show has focused only on Emily pretty much. But again this must be said, KMH rocks.

Meg and Craig are boring though.

Hate this story. Hate.

KMH is awesome.

I really am hoping that Emily will pull herself out of this. I can't stand Dusty.

Meg and Craig actually remind me a bit of Craig/Rosanna. Though I do admit I'm just happy Meg is away from myPaul.

I felt really bad for KMH. It must have been horrible to try and do that physical stuff while pregnant. I guess I'll officially stop complaining about Carly's self-destruction story now. This was so much worse than anything she's ever been given, even if I loathed it like all get out.

A liked a lot of how KMH acted. There were still spots it went back into her normal screech, plead, humming thing, which just made me roll my eyes.

And once I saw the bottom of Em's dress, all I could think of was Cady McClain's emmy dress that was the same style, which she called her "big vagina dress" or something like it.

*ducking* I found myself actually liking Craig/Meg today. Of course, I was seeing someone else in the role of Craig, and praying the rumors are true.

I found myself smiling like an idiot at the Meg and Craig scenes. So help me God, I LOVE THEM!!!!!  ***swooooooooooooon***

Whoa. Those Emily scenes came out of NOWHERE! For the past month her story has been one sporadically and suddenly it builds up and climaxes in ONE DAY! The scenes between her and Elliot were great, loved seeing Susan, and I loved seeing a new set (:P). However, I'm annoyed that Dusty might be her new love interest. <_<

I was watching the show but turned it off. KMH was doing a great job. I just was busy doing something else so I decided to see it later so it could get my full attention. But what I've seen so far I have enjoyed.

    • All the time they spent trying to make viewers feel sorry for Chad only for him to not even last that long. I wonder if they knew Richard Burgi was going so quickly. You're right about Josie replacing Cheryl. On paper, this should have made sense, given all the ties Josie had to the canvas, but I did prefer Cheryl. There was something very synthetic about Alexandra Wilson.  I suppose even if she did have some fans they were just so used to getting rid of people left and right, so she was more collateral damage. As you said above I do wonder what the plans were for Peggy Lazarus. I think AWHP mentioned her once telling Peter that Peggy Lazarus wasn't her real name. Maybe she would have been another Carl moll... Rebecca Hollen never did get her due in her soap roles.
    • So true...Hackney might have had a story on FC with Richard being an old lover of his, but reveals herself to be a Cartel member and blackmails Richard with something into doing her dirty work  LOL. But of course Richard had his hands full with the double trouble sisters Ms. Jones and Ms. Braxton that season.

    • Cat herself will be a stumbling block all her own as she vowed to Chad to stay away from him, thus redeeming her of her crime morally. Classic DAYS would have them gazing longingly at each other at Doug's Place or Blondie's, while Liz is serenading the room with a song aptly chosen to represent their feelings of emotional turmoil.
    • From what I just recently watched, they were setting her up to go into future stories. She was Emmy nomination worthy in the material I saw. If some viewers did not like her, the character could have been rehabilitated after that sick storyline. It feels like they destroyed a character for fun and then tossed her to the curb. Spencer had chemistry with everyone. I'm just retroactively angry on Spencer's behalf.  You're right about how Cheryl was often forgotten and pushed aside and I would take Cheryl over Josie. I think soaps need characters like Cheryl. Characters like Josie are way too common. Josie always got on my nerves.
    • CBS was back in third place in 1994/95. That was the season CBS lost NFL broadcasting rights which also cost them several established affiliates in major media markets. 1995 CBS was sold to Westinghouse and Les Moonves arrived. 1995/96 CBS was trying to be young and cool to compete with NBC and Fox, but it was an epic failure and CBS was once again in third place.
    • I tend to think that Chad will actually listen to Jen (this time). And that will be the next stumbling block in their relationship, which will open the possibilities for Cat to seek another member of their love triangle... To iterate my earlier thought, I am also not a fan of the person Melissa Reeves, but the character of Jennifer looks so chic this week, especially in comparison to Hope (and Gabi).  That blunt haircut is a winner.
    • I think Cheryl was essentially replaced by Josie, and it seems likely that Lemay wanted to bring the Frames back into the picture and for a variety of reasons that it would be McKinnons who would make way for them. Cheryl didn't really get many layers -- she was pretty and kind and sweet and faded into the background so that Scott could participate in the AIDS storyline with Dawn. Looking at the AWHP, other than (not very) shockingly being in love with her mother's adopted son Scott, Cheryl apparently went out with Sam and flirted with much-too-old-for-her John Hudson and MJ's ex-boyfriend/pimp Chad. I know MJ told Mary that she had been a prostitute, but did she tell Cheryl and did she tell anyone about Chad's pimping?
    • I feel the same way about Melissa Reeves' Jennifer. She just makes the show feel like home by her presence alone. I am perfectly okay with them coming in every once and awhile, which probably fits Reeves' schedule better anyway. Their connections to Salem are still there: JJ, the grandkids, Jack still owning half of The Spectator ... they're perfect recurring characters. All this talk of Jennifer being in the wrong regarding Cat is absurd. Jennifer is not being villainized in any way, shape, or form, she's just being allowed to actually be human, which adds odds to the obstacle of Chad and Cat eventually getting together. All inner conflict. Keep it coming!
    • Hahaha. Jean Hackney, Angelica Nero, and the Falcon Crest henchwomen were all straight out of a James Bond movie.
    • My hunch is what you've described. JFP is likely back working on transitioning the show to a new studio and embracing new technology for its production model.
