Wow. Claire's been on a great deal. I'm wondering if she can submit in the lead category next year. Those twins deserve their Emmy!

I'm so used to Shawn being in the top 5, but for the first time, I don't mind it. Brandon Beemer is amazing and he makes me like Shawn.

So we have new twin girls playing Ciara, how neat. Wish we could see her with a name actually. Darling babies and maybe they are big like the way you buy kiddie clothes....a little large so they can grow into them ;) .

I still don't like the balance at all. Some have said that the balance was better in February but the counts sure don't show it. The vets were really thrown to the bottom in February. When you look at the actual counts it makes it seem worse than it even seemed watching it as far as balance.

I agree with so many that the quality is there but Hogan has got to kick the stories in and improve the balance to get the ratings up.

Way too much Elvis for my tastes.

I'm also disappointed to see Rogers, Reynolds and Aniston with only a couple of episodes to their name in Feb.

And therein lies the problem. How pathetic. To think... a year ago people were calling DAYS the Chelsea show, without reason, now it actually IS!! In regards to Nick... no new character should be on this much no matter how good they are...

Wow... this just says it all. There was NOOOOOOOO Balance at all this YEAR... People say it started at February but that can't be it considering Shawn and Nick and Belle and Chelsea are tops for the year.

The fricken doctor associated with Nick appeared more than Hope, Marlena, Abe, Bonnie, Mimi, WOW.

Once again Shelle dominates the line up.... and it's worst because Beemer is STILL a fresh face. I can't believe Hope has only been on for 10 episodes this year :( ...

I don't mind Nick/Chelsea being on that much. They're in a good storyline and are portrayed by good actors. It's not like say 2001 when the teens were played by bad actors and in bad storylines.

And that's the biggest difference. I hate when people compare today's DAYS with the Salem High DAYS. There's no comparison. Hogan writes the next generation very well. It can do wonders. Just look at Beverly Hills, 90210. Major success. I'm not saying that it works on daytime, but with good writing, it may do wonders. Lets see what happens after this summer.

I don't get all the hate for Salem High. That was the highlight of the show for me from 99-02.

YAY!! Go Annie! Top 10! :)

Had you been watching for several years previous to Salem High?

Days was an adult drama. Dark, semi-gothic storylines involving adult characters.

It went from being a serious show with a serious tone to being a "Saved by the Bell" ripoff. Ghoul Girl? Gigantor? Geek boy? Shy Girl? Shawn, Belle, Phillip, Mimi, Chloe... all sucked. Bad actors. Horrible writing. There was nothing to their characters -- they were all caricatures. Phillip was the rich jock, Chloe was the goth girl, Belle was the perfect rich girl, Mimi was the annoying best friend... yadda yadda yadda. It was an embarassment. Certainly NOT a soap opera.

The balance is horrible but we know this. It has only started getting better in the last two weeks.

Plus, the first half of January was much better balanced. The balance got all screwed up after RJ left and it seemed to get better around the time we got Bope back two weeks ago. It's not perfect yet but it's better.

As I said, it doesn't matter about the balance. What matters is things happening and there was awhile there where very little happened. That is why the ratings sucked. Last summer, we saw the same thing where Austin, Carrie, Sami, EJ, Lucas, Belle,Shawn, Philip, and Mimi dominated our screens. It happens.

I hate that the balance sucks to but it has been better recently and was better to start the year. Like Drew and Toups said, the stories are fine so it's not a problem. The problem is that things need to happen. We need things amped up. That is the big issue.

Way too much Chelsea, Nick, EJ & Willow. I'm even starting to dislike Chelsea again and to not like Nick because of their way too much airtime.
