Watched this episode late last night after work. OUTSTANDING episode IMO!! I am amazed at how much DAYS has improved, it is a COMPLETELY different show...and I LOVE IT!

The Philip/Belle scenes and Kayla/Steve/EJ scenes were PURELY OUTSTANDING!

Jay Johnson...I don't know what he did when he left DAYS, whether it was just mature or take on some hardcore acting classes, but it paid off...this guy CAN ACT and he CAN ACT GREAT!!! He was BORN to play a villain, he is truly shining with this material and the screen chemistry he has is unbelievable. Martha Madison and him act very well opposite each other...those showdown scenes between Belle/Philip were SO deliciously great, loved EVERYTHING both of them said to each other...Philip was SOOOO cold to Belle, his words SO hurtful...but she stood her ground against him thats for sure.

Stephen Nichols was once again OUTSTANDING as Steve...that scene where he pulled the knife on EJ was CARAZZY....VERY intense!! Loved how EJ kep taking that knife and knocking it on the table, like he KNEW it was triggering one of Steve's episodes....that was very creepy!! Mary Beth Evans was also VERY good...I am glad they are pulling her more into this story and I am glad Evans has stepped up her game!

Rachel Melvin is just charming the pants of me...I am just loving her more and more each day. Loved where DAYS is going with Chelsea now (who knew I would end up liking this character.......) and Nick/Chelsea pairing is GREAT, love them!! Loved the moments between Shawn/Chelsea, I like that DAYS is mending this relationship.

Overall a great show, with OUTSTANDING acting from Madison, Johnson, Nichols, Evans and Scott!

With one month already in the books, 2007 is looking to be DAYS best year of this current decade!

This is a very enjoyable episode.

Kate is incredibly cruel! I actually felt bad for Sami when Kate went and lifted the beam that Sami couldn't move at all. Kate finding out Sami is pregnant is going to cause trouble, IMO. I'm sure the news will somehow leak to EJ via Kate.

I'm very proud of Nick and especially Chelsea. They were brilliant! Even though we haven't seen Belle and Shawn off on the boat yet, they did their part very well. Phillip is a flipping moron ... I can't believe how they got Claire out of the safe house. Too cool! I believe that Phillip wants to be apart of Claire's life because he loves her, but maybe he doesn't know it yet, but more of this is about seeking revenge, IMO.

The ending was a great cliffhanger! I don't want to see Kayla and Steve in the hospital again, so I hope they're okay!

Good episode.

My thoughts on EJ vs. Steve today. Steve is under some kind of hypnotic suggestion to be an assassin and Steve is fighting it tooth and nail - generatiing these psychotic episodes. Today really showcased this with the 'code' EJ was plunking away at with that knife. He set Steve up. He needs him to break away from his circle of love so to speak, before he can step in.

Philip and Belle were superb, but damn did Belle cut him down right.

ITA! The acting has been superb thus far, so there is no reason for them to not get nominated for Best Show. And if The Hack's writing team at Y&R or Jean's writing team on ATWT gets nominated before Hogan's team on DAYS, I'll truly be pissed.

Whoa! I loved Belle standing up to Philip. And when he started shaking her :o I always wanted a domestic abuse storyline for Philip and Belle, especially when Kyle Brandt was on the verge of his exit and started playing with an edge. Jay does it even better! I want PHELLE back!

Jay sucks, Jay sucks, Jay sucks.

Screams every line. Sounds like a little boy whining to mommy because he didn't get his way. Not menacing or scary in the least... only pathetic.

This episode sounds good, though. I can't wait to watch it on SoapNet tonight.

    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
    • I don't, since they've clearly incorporated them into Tomas' storyline, and I happen to like his tattoos, but his jackets not fitting doesn't mean they're trying to cover his tattoos. The clothing overall isn't the issue; it's the fit. And I expect(ed) more from Jeresa Featherstone and her team. Very disappointed. He's the only male, overall, whose costume irritates me.
    • "And OMG, watching the scenes of Roger's return in comparison...the quality in the writing really nosedived. The stupid mask." Very much agreed.  Having Roger hide behind a mask for weeks/months, with it culminating with him swinging in on a vine at Blake/Phillip's wedding....geez.  So juvenile. IMO, Guiding Light never did a good job reintroducing major characters, either from the dead or elsewhere.  Masked balls = awful.  Amish = awful. When Reva was brought back from the dead, she should've just showed up in Springfield as Reva, and informed everyone that she had been gone for years because she felt like it.  She had a four-year fling with some dude who ended up dumping her due to disloyalty. Josh would be pissed and declare that their love is not *always* but *sometimes* and he'd act accordingly.  Her kids would hate her.
