According to the latest issue of 'Soap Opera Digest,' Eileen Davidson has signed a three-year contract with the show. She will be playing Ashley Abbott.

As CRC I wonder what Ashley will be like in LA. I could see Ashley and Felicia getting best gals and then going after the same man, Storm....

Hopefully they'll also add Abby: Darcy Rose Byrnes among the Pace twins (Hope) and the girl playing Alexandria are all so talented young toddlers. They would make a great spin-off for Nickelodeon: "B&B Pre-School edition". LMAO!

As for Vivian being Hogan's new Barbara Ryan, I thought Hogan would go that way with Kate. I see a lot more similarities between Kate and Barbara than Vivian and Barbara. Anyway, I hope this means more [!@#$%^&*] fights between Kate and Vivian!

That scene still cracks me up. I tried to find a transcript, but best I could come up with was this summary and pictures from The World The Bold and the Beautiful.

In the other room, Hope and Aly are coloring. Hope then tell Aly that she heard from a friend that Taylor killed Aly's mommy. Aly says that's not true, but Hope insists she heard Katie's mom talking about. "It's true. Taylor ran over your mommy," Hope states.

At Taylor and Thorne's Bel Air home, Alexandria tells Hope to take back what she said about Taylor, but Hope insists that her friend heard that Taylor ran Darla over. Aly insists it's not true, because Taylor is nice and wouldn't do that. She knows her daddy would never marry Taylor if she did what Hope is saying.

Yes, Eileen & Jack were on SB during the same time period- the last year of the show. However, they were rarely, if ever, featured in scenes together. Eileen SUCKED on SB, BTW. Awful. The worst re-cast of all-time IMO, though she finally did grow on me at DAYS.

to those of you who are speculating as to what B&B is going to do with her because I guarantee you that as of today, they haven't a clue.

It can't get any worse than Ashley's last year in Genoa City when LML knew nothing to do with her - resulting in backburn syndrome and out-of-character behaviour.

If Brad gets the best actors he will eventually write for them and if time is not right he will throw them some good stuff at least every once in a while (like he does for Lesli Kay). I think Ashley will tangle love-wise between Nick or Storm and will get heavily involved in the fashion war with her fragrance line...

BTW: Anyone else think that Eileen Davidson could get a supporting actress nomniation for the Emmys because of her perfomances after John's death? Like Genie Francis five seconds at GH this is ridiculous how actors with little or no material at all end up nominated - both probably will have great tapes and will go head-to-head with really got SUPPORTING actresses like Lesli Kay or that woman from Gl who's name escpaes me right now.

WHAT?! I'm glad to have Ashley Abbott back, but Y&R needs her DESPERATELY! Traci better be coming back full-time because it can't just be Jack. I NEVER expected this, but I'm glad Brad Bell saw how STUPID it was to let Davidson go.

The sad thing is that she won't be used properly on B&B either. Brad Bell loses interest in new characters quick, has no vision and soon will forget Ashley. Oh well, I HATE current B&B but I have to watch full time now.

The Y&R prenoms were truly shameful. Victoria Rowell, Sharon Case and Eric Braeden need to crack some skulls.

It would make sense if Louise Sorrel came back. Of course, she would be the governess that raised EJ. Like everyone else said, I'm not getting my hopes up this time. It would be great, though.

I was about to comment in the other thread but wow. Glad we got a fresh one.

I would much rather see Eileen play someone new on B&B. Ashley is so dull and has been for the last 3 or so years. Maybe Brad Bell will give her something to do that is more exciting but I don't know. B&B does this stuff all the time with a big name and they are out on their asses 6 months-year later.

I am upset about her not going to Days. However, the fact that they didn't approach makes me wonder if maybe Corday's hands were tied. Maybe he can't go out there and get the faces we want to see. NBC pretty much condemned them already so maybe they are keeping Days on a tight budget. We don't know why. I think it's more likely that this was out of Corday and Hogan's hands because I do think if they could've they would go out and get her. Same goes for Joe. Corday likes to bring back familiar faces when they are available. It just doesn't seem right he wouldn't contact her if he could.

There is also the idea that they may not be story there prepared or that Eileen didn't want to go to Days. Maybe she knew B&B was interested and it was very much similar to Y&R so who knows. I do think it's a smart move for Days in a way because you have many actors there that deserve focus and attention. I am upset though. I wanted Eileen but it happens I guess.

You really give Corday too much credit and the show for that matter. But that is all good. DAYS lost a BIG opportunity here, they have no excuses. They are bringing on new character after character and can not bring a familiar face, known to bring in ratings, and known to stir up the show in the right direction. There is no excuse for it. They had ample time, and Eileen clearly sounded VERY interested in her exit interview from Y&R, especially when she was almost making it seem rationale that EJ has now become a 30 year old and she could still portray his mother. This is a major bomb for DAYS and no matter how good it is, or how good it will be, it is really just a step in the wrong direction IMO.

Good news about LS though, if it turns out to be true. I just wonder what role she'll play not being John's aunt anymore.

Correct me if I'm wrong (seriously, DO!), but I thought she was still his aunt- his mother is Daphne DiMera, but his father is still an Alamain, no?

At this point would LS return make a difference? Vivian left on a low note, with very little popularity and her character become pointless in many ways. Hogan is not really writing for Steve and Kayla that much either, everything they do surrounds the youngsters. Shelle have been going around in this circle and now Willow is becoming this major character. Nick and Chelsea are on way too much. And not bringing on Eileen to focus on characters we already have?? Not happening at all. John's been in a coma, Marlena's time has been reduced because of that, Hope is on rarely the show is balanced more yes but the younger group is definitely taking the front and center. This is not how DAYS should go out.. really...
