Don't even remind me of SSM. That women started the beginning of the inconsitency we saw on Days in the past decade.

Anyways. GO [!@#$%^&*]!! YOU TEAR NBC TO SHREADS!!!

Seriously, we need more women like her. Do I agree with all her ideas? No but I like the fact that she knows fans want to see soaps. She has alot of energy and passion. We know from Days last year and from some of her interviews that she is very in tune on a good portion of what fans want. We need people with new and fresh perspectives on daytime rather then the same old recycled writers all over again.

Love this!!

WAY TO GO [!@#$%^&*]!!!

I've always liked her, but now I LOOOOVE THIS WOMAN!!! She's saying everything we as fans have been desperately wanting to say for years, and she's not afraid to speak her mind at all! LOVE HER!

My favorite part was the stringing Reilly by his balls comment! LMAO!

Oh, how I WISH WISH WISH GL or ATWT (but mostly GL) could grab [!@#$%^&*] as HW. I could see her doing wonders with GL. She's exactly the shot in the arm that the soap genre needs right now.

Dear God, would someone PLEASE e-mail this article to Kevin Reilly, Jeff Zucker, all the head writers and executive producers at all the soap operas and all the daytime heads? Because this interview NEEDS to be seen!

Oh, and since [!@#$%^&*] started it, YES, [!@#$%^&*] you Kevin Reilly!

People still love soaps, you [!@#$%^&*] [!@#$%^&*]!!!

God, I LOVE her. LOVE her whole attitude, her commitment and devotion to soaps.

She needs to be put on a soap, and fast. Her and a strong supporting team of writers, with a nurturing EP.

Daytime's share of audience is so small anyways, why not take the risk?

I don't understand why Daytime fans lobbied to get her thrown out of Days. It's not like she was even HW.

Wow! Why can't we get creative, energetic people like her working in the industry instead of morons like Zucker and Reilly? Why does everyone have great ideas for revitalizing the soaps except for the people who could actually implement them? It's sheer laziness on the network's part to just keep extending "Today" instead of trying to come up with original ideas that will fix daytime, instead of just wiping it out. I'm still furious with Zucker/Reilly for their cancellation announcement about DOOL and so glad that KB has the courage to speak her mind. The entertainment industry as a whole needs more people like her. Then maybe we could get some decent TV to watch, not just news shows, talk shows, game shows and recycled versions of whatever ABC's latest hit was. Have they not learned from "Millionaire" and all the failed copycats of "Lost" that you can't take a great idea and recycle it to death? NBC seems to have given up on daytime, but maybe there's hope for ABC and CBS and someone will have the courage to give KB a chance.

It's because she's so "weird", she's different, she's "naked" and she's a black Voodoo Doll LOL!!!!! :)

Only a show like DOOL would bring on someone as odd as [s.W.S.N.B.N.].

JK

But you get my meaning. Fans were totally thrown by her name and the idea of STORM the comic character writing their soaps.

Has anyone read any of her books? I read "Long Train to the Redeeming Sin" and it was fantastic! I'm talking classic literature.

They are totally "black themed", but you still can't put them down once you start reading. I read "Flesh and the Devil", too and

her memoirs which was like reading the Reilly interview only 450 pages long because that's just how she talks about everything

--blunt and to the point.

P.S. I love your pic of Sally Specter! I get a tear in my eye everytime I see her photo man.

So if "they" (whoever that is) listened to fans and that's why they booted KB from DOOL, why don't they listen to fans about anything else? I'm surprised that there was much of a reaction to KB anyway; I don't care who writes my soap as long as I'm being entertained!

This is an excellent read! I just want to faint imagining her at ATWT, OLTL or as headwriter for Y&R. I know Y&R doesn't need it, but she would probably be exactly what they're looking for. Cutting edge, original stories while stile having respect for the history of the show. But OLTl and ATWT need it the most. I hope someone has balls and hires her! ANY PUBLICITY IS GOOD PUBLICITY WHEN YOU HAVE NONE IDIOTS!

Look at the ratings increases for GH and Y&R, soaps aren't dying on their own accord. The viewers are there, we just want GOOD storytelling. Ratings CAN rebound, just try!

    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
    • Bloodshed is inevitable now. It’s another reason I’m glad Black people aren’t getting involved in these protests. As awful as this is, I keep reminding myself that 54 percent of Latino men voted for Trump. These people were put in harm’s way by members of their own communities and sometimes even members of their own families. Too many people decided to touch the stove.
    • Maybe I'm still in denial, but nothing about Neighbours' ongoing social media output gives the vibe of a show that's ending. In today's 'Roundup' video, Alan Fletcher referenced that production finishes in five weeks, but in all the show's posts the cast are as jovial and lighthearted as ever. Remarkably so for people who are about to lose their jobs.    Perhaps they're just putting a brave face on things, and I know they approached the previous axing with a positive attitude. Maybe putting an upbeat face on things is a collective way of showing potential backers that there's still life in the show? Or is it possible that they already know the show has been saved, and we'll get an announcement next month when filming wraps and the show 'rests'?   Does any of that make sense?!
    • A very good week for male eye candy on GH. New Michael is beautiful, Curtis's arms looked great in that polo shirt, Cody looks even more handsome with his new haircut AND we got Marco in swim shorts rocking his lovely bod and chest fur.

    • Yeah when Jamey Giddens did breakdowns for DAYS, he would sometimes state in tweets that specific things were his idea that he had pitched to Ron.
