Well, I don't know why that USA Today article suggested "7th Heaven" would get the boot. It seems its 3.3 million viewers is on par with other CW shows. Compared to "One Tree Hill," "Veronica's Mars," "Beauty and the Geek," by that network's standard it's in good company.

The net needs a nice family friendly show that makes you feel fuzzy all over, and "Heaven" has proven its staying power.

It definitely is. Simon, Randy, and Paula really add nothing to it. It's the guest judges - the ones that are actually still singing and recording whose opinions are more valuable. Some of them do what the other three forget to do - critique them on their singing, instead of acting like a drunk goofball and trying to come up with an insult ET and The Insider will use on their highlight reels.

But as long as the ratings are great, we're gonna have AI into the next milennium.
