AMC & GH

Per the new SOD, AMC is casting a role that very well could be Greenlee Smythe, last played by fan fave Rebecca Budig.

Also in the same article, it stated that GH may be re-casting the role of Brenda Barrett, made famous by now LAS VEGAS star Vanessa Marcil.

I can see both of these happening. I've posted before that I think Arianne Zuker (ex-Nicole Walker, DAYS) would be a good Greenlee, although she does NOT resemble Budig whatsoever.

For Brenda on GH, I really cannot think of anyone at the moment. Rebecca Budig comes to mind, but that maybe becasue of teh rumors from about a year ago that GH wanted Budig if they couldn't get Vanessa Marcil back.

The folks at ABC just don't have a clue, do they? Why even go there, especially with Brenda, who is one of the few iconic characters to emerge from daytime in the past decade? Neither of these roles are so desperately needed on the canvas that they have to be re-cast.

No No No and No to recasting Brenda. I can't even articulate how absolutely pissed off I would be. To me, it is as upsetting as MS being Sheila Carter. NO ONE but Vanessa Marcil is Brenda Barrett.

But if ABC is stupid and recasts Brenda,I hope she steals Jax and Sonny from Carly

If by some chance Amy van Horne did come to GH as Brenda, then all we'd need was the guy that played Tony on The City, and we'd have the complete The City quadrangle together again (Ted King (Danny/Lorenzo, Laura Wright (Ally/Carly), Amy van Horne (Carla/Brenda) and that guy (Tony/someone)...
