Oh, and Melinda's version of the Whitney Houston song was SOOOOOOOO BOOOOORING. The other two songs were decent, but I still can't get past the frog/throaty super-fast vibratto thing that she does with her voice in certain parts of her songs.

And I still can't get over the judges praising Blake's version of "This Love." He kept falling behind the music! It made me cringe, which is why I was so dumbfounded at the judges bending over backwards to profess their love of his performance when it was so, so subpar. I think that Paula is screwing Blake, because he could get on stage and take a sh!t in a pan and she'd be all over it with a wet puss-y. I'd love to just smack the sh!t out of her.

DI is usually pretty accurate when we only have a few left. I think Blake is gone and I think a Melinda/Jordin finale will be a nailbiter. I think whoever goes last will get it. The producers will do that so they get an emotional end, like the year Carrie won. They know if they want ratings it needs to be Melinda/Jordin. Blake in there means the finale will be a runaway. There needs to be competition.

Jordin and Melinda final two will be nice. I honestly would not root for one over the other.

Melinda has the voice, the personality, and the consistency.

Jordin has the voice, the marketability, and the total package.

The majority of people voting don't care about marketability. They're going to vote for whoever they want to win, regardless of how well they fit the market mold. I mean, look at Taylor Hicks, LoL

Jordin does deserve to win, though. Her voice is so fluid, clear and expansive. Melinda's nice, but she sounds rather throaty at times, with a strange froglike sound and super-fast vibratto. I don't like it.

Melinda and Jordin completely out-sang Blake last night. They deserve the final two spots. Blake is good but Melinda and Jordin are just all kinds of awesome.

Jordin also proved last night why she deserves to win this competition.

I just checked Dial Idol and they are showing the results are too close to predict. That's about how I feel, too. Blake has a huge following who don't care if he can sing or is marketable or anything except that he is different like Taylor Hicks was and that was a huge disaster. I so hope that when all is said and done, sensibility rules and Melinda and Jordin are the final two. Grrrrrrrrrrr, now I will stew all day long ugh, but I do think Blake has a lot more going for him than Taylor had.

As far as getting into the final two, it really is anyone's game. People may not have voted as vigorously for Melinda cuz they thought she was safe. Maybe Jordin and Blake fans voted rabidly for three hours or however long.

You never know!! You never know.

I agree. Honestly, I don't think anything will really SURPRISE me tonight. I'd be ecstatic for a Jordin or Melinda win. If Blake wins, it will be a letdown, because Melinda and Jordin just completely out-sing him but it wouldn't be a surprise if he won either.

It's tough.

I agree that Blake is different like TH but he's waaaayyyy better the TH. He's different in a good way IMO.

I think it will be a Melinda/Jordin final. Although at this point I'm kind of Melinda'd out. There's no doubt that she has an amazing voice but it gets old hearing the same thing from her every week. I think it will be too close to call.

That nickname for Katherine is hilarious.....

I'm hoping for a Melinda/Jordin final two also....Blake's beat boxing was interesting at first, but he's done it to often and the novelty has worn off in a major way for me.....It's just plain annoying now....

That was a ridiculous remark by Simon. That song is ageless AGELESS as love is ageless. Jordin was breathtaking in this. I hope those who believe he was trying to get sympathy for Jordin are correct as his remarks cut both ways and that could have hurt her for votes, too.

    • Right. Literally for decades, soaps mesmerized their audiences with tales of romance, family conflict, class struggles, and recognizable interpersonal-relationship sagas. We didn't need relentless, heavy violence. We didn't need clones, mad scientists, extra-terrestrials and demon possessions. We didn't need gaggles of plastic himbos and bimbos pushing beloved vets off-screen. We only needed to see people whom we cared about, and the intelligent, moving progression of their lives. Flashy sets, gaudy gimmicks, and high-falutin' hairdos be damned. The characters and the words were important.
    • Absolutely! Brad should've simply moved on from Lunacy. There's no point of freeing her, if you're not going to at least make an attempt at redemption or incorporating her into the fold. It happened with Quinn, who committed quite a few felonies before become the Forrester Matriarch.  Heck, keep Lunacy in prison and have Poppy/Finn discover that she gave birth to twins - 'Sunny' could've come on with a clean slate and still had Sheila/Finn and all the other drama. It certainly couldn't have been worse than what we've witnessed with the destruction of $B.
    • I would enjoy it if Swan popped up on BTG as an old one time friend/mentor of Anita’s for a cameo. This is just

    • I had totally forgotten that Courtney story. I see Burton was already phoning it in by that point.
    • omg I completely missed that, but now when I see it typed here in your post, it's obvious icky cringe. So now I just checked and Tomas said that -- on May 27 that he likes the author Carl Ivati.  He said it with sort of an accent, so I didn't catch the stupid joke or think about the spelling.   I remember when that aired, that I actually said to myself at the time, "I wonder if that's a Latin American author, and I will have to google him later." And now I see your post, and I see. Well that's cringe, and I feel stupid to have fallen for it.

    • There's a lot you don't need if you have the writing.  You don't even need large casts!  You could make do with a cast of 12-18 actors if the writing is there.
    • Thank you. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with sleeping around if your spouse actually knows about it. She’s just a cheating slut.
    • OMG...Robert Mandan! And Donna Mills is a child. I keep hoping for more of early Ross/Vanessa.
    • I get your point, but I also know that if the roles were reversed -- if a man were screwing around on a woman this way -- everyone would be all "All with his head!" When I say Vanessa needs therapy, I'm actually being kind, because I could begin and end with the fact that she's a cheating slut.
    • Is nobody going to mention the cringefest that is 'Carl Ivati'?
