Sanjaya has got to go but folks, he is this season's Kellie Pickler. He'll be around until the novelty wears off. Simple as that. He won't win but he'll go a lot further than he should.

Not surprised at all by the bottom three. I think Phil's screwed soon. He just is meh to me. Very average and boring and something about him bugs me.

 Haley. So glad she was safe!

Not at all surprised it was Chris Sligh who was voted out. He really wasn't the same. He peaked too early and just kind of faltered.

I still don't see the appeal of Chris Richardson. He's just a Timberlake wannabe, right down to the clothes, although he seems like a nice guy so ... but his vocal just isn't for me.

Love Blake, Haley, Melinda, Lakisha, Jordin and Gina

Um, I don't live under a rock. Kellie has gotten TEN TIMES better than when she was on Idol.

Chicken Little was voted out at the Top 11. Sanjaya's now in the top NINE. He's our Pickler this year, with just a little less talent. Simple as that. He'll probably go out in sixth place or around there.

I think Sanjaya is this year's John Stevens, but just with more controversy around him. John was a sweet high school kid who had a nice (kinda quiet like Sanjaya) voice that hadn't fully developed. He lasted longer than he should have, but America has every right to vote for who they like based on any criteria they choose.

Sanjaya was boring at first, but the last two weeks he's been entertaining, which is more than I can say for half the contestants. Sure, there are zillions of technically good singers in the world, but not many can pull off the fauxhawk. LOL

I don't see the Justin T. references anymore really. Chris has the same haircut and they're both white. Their singing styles are not the same, really. I actually think Blake has more Justin T. qualities about him than Chris R.

Sanjaya is hilarious! I love how he pretends to be straight and changes all the words to make it so he sings about girls! That makes it even funnier!

Well I think there is a chance sanjaya will be here longer than expected. There is a website dedicated to getting votes for the worst idol and Howard Stern is promoting it and younger viewers really like him(isn't that their main demographic), so I won't be shocked if he's here another 2-3 weeks.

I love Chris's voice and even moreso from the studio versions. I download the studio versions of Blake and Chris's songs every week. I could see Chris making a great album. I normally love Blake, but this week's song is pretty boring when you listen to the studio version and don't have the visual of him looking hot.

Old ladies for Sanjaya, too LOL. He's a total cutie-pie and has a great disposition. He radiates joy and this world needs that in tremendous proportions. There are such cruel adults in the media who are laughing at this young man saying he doesn't deserve to be there, but he was voted there by the judges then by the voters and so he definitely deserves his place. Good for him for making the most of this opportunity.

I went to votefortheworst.com and they have over 10,000 registered users, I thought that was pretty low so that site really doesnt have a big impact like I thought, thats less than 1% of the votes, Sanjaya really must have alot of fans whether they really like him or not. Simon also should have never said, "If Sanjaya win's he'll quit," that probably made some people vote for Sanjaya. I really like Sanjaya, and I do think he can sing, he just doesn't put forth the effort, yet he's comfortable pulling off those weird hairstyles.:)

Perhaps it wasn't the most well-played match in history, but that's something no one will remember in a few years time.
    • The thing with Martin (for me) is that he should have been Anita and Vernon's kid. I honestly think he would have been fine being an older or younger brother to Dani and Nicole. It also would have made his relationship and kids feel more realistic. A handsome salt and pepper late 40s/early 50s congressman who settled down and adopted kids to fit an image for politics. Not that he didn't want this lifestyle but it is what he needed to do to get ahead. Also, we don't often get older characters playing LGBT roles not just on daytime but across most media. It would have been a refreshing take. As an alternative, Sam and Ty could have been Martin's kids from an earlier marriage a la the NJ governor that was outed. We could have also seen parallels between Vernon and Anita thinking back to how they handled Martin coming out compared to the way they accepted Chelsea.  As for Martin being Nicole and Ted's kid, I do wish in this case he was not tied to a marriage and kids, so that he could date and sleep around like any other character on a soap.  Yeah, I didn't get it...but what I did get is that girl is a bit crazy like her mama.  Vanessa and Joey talking about the poker table...get these people off my screen.

    • Unpopular opinion, but I didn't think the show should have reunited Billy/Vanessa at all until the final stretch of the show. When watching the 1989 episodes when both Vanessa and Billy return after being off the show... I liked that Vanessa had moved on from him and that the show was hinting at her wanting to reunite with her first love Ross while looking down at Nadine for being the one Ross was dating.  And I loved the twist where Billy and Nadine teamed up to keep Vanessa/Ross apart.   This was an interesting concept that sadly the writers dropped with the show deciding to make Vanessa pine over Billy between 1990 and 1993 when they finally reunited.   To me, Vanessa pining over Billy seemed out of character. At least once Billy was carted off to prison in 1994... she and Billy divorced and stayed divorced until the final months when they finally found their way back together.  During the years when they were divorced, I liked that they had maintained a friendship and connection.. with viewers (like my late mom) wondering if they would ever decide to make it work again. I wish the show had tried that with Josh/Reva because by the time of the final episode when they rode off into the sunset, I didn't care because we'd been through the make up and break ups between them for over 10+ years by that point.
    • I break down the primetime soap era (start of Dallas to end of Knots Landing) as  Up to Spring 1982: Building the foundation. Fall 1982-Spring 1985: Peak. Fall 1985-Spring 1988: Tanking. Fall 1988 onward: Off the rails plus budget mode. Of course individual shows vary and I've broken down each show in their threads.
    • I’m ready for Portia and Curtis to divorce and get it over with. Portia cheating with Isaiah would make for a fun love quadrangle with Jordan.

    • They didn't need to have some slutty gay dude as their representation. Just a 'normal' guy getting involved with another guy or two (or three). Just like the straight characters. Thinking about it, they missed the boat by not having a few other single charcters at the beginning. Maybe Naomi or Ashley could be shown meeting Derek/Jacob and  we could follow their romance. Too many characters were coupled up at the start. As a tattoo hater I was surprised to see Tomas so inked. Don't find it attractive or sexy. I'm surprised an actor would do that as it's definitely a statement and may not be appropriate for some roles. Suppose they can cover if necessary. I didn't buy Kat being all girly and then paying off Darius to get into Eva's room. Way too cliche. She should have just come along when the housekeeping was leaving and breezed in saying it was her room. And her smug looks in the hotel room and 'Now I've got you!!' talks to herself at Orphey Gene's...no.
