January 15, 200719 yr Member Oh wow - that's interesting. Was she similar in character to Sally?? I could see Bobbie doing that role after watching her as Krystal on AMC. Not really. Macy was pretty prim and proper compared to Sally. Here's a clip of her on B&B:
January 15, 200719 yr Member Macy was nothing like Krystal. Macy was a dramatic character much like Brooke and Taylor. Bobbie Eakes gave some terrific performances as Macy. Oddly enough it was the AMC role that garnered her an emmy nom, even though the B&B role meritted one. Even if ABC did give Eakes an "out" for a special B&B appearance, I doubt B&B would want her for an episode or two since it would mean bringing Macy back from the dead just for a funeral.
January 15, 200719 yr Member omg... This is so upsetting to me. I have watched B&B for awhile, i had stopped watching it but have I do keep up, and Sally was one that always stuck out to me when I was younger. RIP Darlene and my condolences go out to her friends and family.
January 15, 200719 yr Member Here's a fabulous short clip of Sally and Stephanie... "> " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

I hope B&B does get Bobbie for a special episode...if they do one. She was such a sweetheart, I loved Macy but she dealt with her heartache` by drinking. And Brooke basically got Macy "killed" by taunting her with a divorce from her husband and got in the car with her. She wrecked and Macy died. One of the reasons I have such a problem with Brooke. Macy got brought back but that time she died from cancer. I miss Bobbie's red hair. Macy and Sally had a very close relationship, and some of the best agony in daytime was Sally lashing out at the Forresters and Brooke at her funeral. Edited January 15, 200719 yr by Southern Honey
January 15, 200719 yr Member I'm so saddened to hear about the passing of my beloved "Sally Spectra". My deepest sympathies to her family. She will be missed.
January 15, 200719 yr Member Here's are some FABULOUS Darlene Conley clips. She was truly one of a kind. A true scene stealer, and was also magnificent on Y&R as Rose Deville. Sally Spectra Tribute Sally Spectra gives Stephanie Forrester a special haircut Before Darla's death AMAZING Sally/Stephanie confrontation
January 15, 200719 yr Member I'm not a B&B fan, but my condolences most certainly go out to Darlene's family, friends, and fans. This is just shocking and devastating.
January 15, 200719 yr Member OH MY!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! This is so sad! SO SAD!!!!!!!!! I can't believe it, I'm shocked! RIP Darlene.

Something fell on her head when she was singing and she went into a coma.
January 15, 200719 yr Member I am still in shock. Thanks to all for posting the videos. She is such a wonderful actress.

Oh okay, thanks for that, I had tuned out around that time because I found out she was being killed off AGAIN and I stopped watching in protest. I remembered something that she was talking about with Deacon and thought it was ovarian cancer.
January 15, 200719 yr Member My prayers go out to her family. This is so sad. I cant imagine B&B without Sally Spectra
January 15, 200719 yr Member She is wonderful and very charismatic. Damn this can't be true. I hope that Brad Bell is planning something brilliant. This is just truly devastating and B&B is about to celebrate 20 years on daytime television in March. Darlene joined the show in December '88.
January 15, 200719 yr Member My prayers go out to her family. This is so sad. I cant imagine B&B without Sally Spectra I know. Now it with all be Forresters all the time. Even though Sally wasn't seen in a long time, you could definitely feel the void of her not being there. No Macy, Darla, and now Sally. Edited January 15, 200719 yr by DruRocks
