Members Tishy
Wikipedia is the only place I can find. I googled her name and nothing about her passing. Oh God, I hope this is some sick joke. I am so saddened
Members Josh
We're looking here to confirm! Soapcentral had her as 64 and IMDB as 72 so not sure which is correct.
Members sheilaforever
That's what keeps my hopes up. Wikipedia is pure rubbish when it comes to living content (actors/shows etc.)... Not even this Daniel Coledflidge person at TVGuide is reporting anything...
Members Faulkner
I read this over at DListed. Wow, I had no clue she was even ill. She was certainly one of the greats...everything you'd want in a soap diva. R.I.P.
Members KLN
The dutch show that gave the information was called RTL Boulevard.
Members KLN
http://dlisted.com/2007/01/15/rip-darlene-conley/ There's the article on D-Listed.
Members DruRocks
Yep, they are not going to have this plastered over the news because she's a "soap actress."
Members Faulkner
DListed is simply linking to the Wikipedia entry, which I guess isn't confirmation. I guess we'll know as the day goes on...it's a national holiday for a lot of people.
Members DruRocks
Wow, after nearly two decades on B&B...what an article. Still hoping it's not true! The world famous Madame Tussaud's honored Darlene by selecting Sally Spectra as the only soap opera character to be displayed in their gallery of wax figures in Amsterdam and Las Vegas. "The character of Sally is the epitome of a certain type of female who is no better than they should be," says Darlene, who has played a distinguished line of "shady ladies." "Sally has been in the gutter, but she is looking at the stars and will stop at nothing to bring Spectra Creations up to the level of Forrester Creations. She's a tough dame with a heart, lovingly created and crafted in the tradition of those wonderful 'gal characters' in the films of the 1940's and 50's." Members Adam
I am so saddened by this news. Daytime has truly lost another legend.
Members PSPCindy
How sad for daytime fans everywhere. Darlene Conley was a one woman show! She lit up B&B for many years. My prayers go out to her and her family. Via Con Dios Ms. Conley.
Members Tishy
Darlene Conley has an extensive resume, so if she passed, I think it would be reported. Benjamin Hendrickson's was reported in People. People is now taking a bigger interest in soaps and reporting things such as weddings and passings. Members Foucault
Very sad news. Thought she was great in her short stint on Y&R, and loved her on B&B. She will be missed.
Members KLN
The only reason they reported Ben Hendrickson is because he shot himself in the head.
Members Tishy
I know, but I was just mentioning it because they both have extensive resumes. I wasn't really thinking of the circumstances surronding his passing.
