ATTN: All Cell Phone Users

Hey Guys,

Over the holidays, a relative told me some important news regarding cell phones.

Apparently, after the first of the year, all cell phone numbers will be released and telemarketers will be able to call your cellphone. All answered calls will cost the cellphone user for airtime.

You can do something about this by registering your cellphone(s) in the National Do Not Call List. You can do so by going to www.donotcall.gov or by calling 888-382-1222. It's easy and only takes a few minutes. By doing so, it will be illegal for any company to call you for marketing purposes for the next five years.

Happy calling!

I've known this was going to happen for about a year, just didn't know the date. But the beauty of caller id on cell phone is that you don't have to answer it if its a number you don't know. I don't see a big deal about it. Just don't pick up.

I can always tell when it's someone calling that's not on my list...those are the calls I ignore...If their number isn't in my phone list, they best rest assured that I'm not answering or even opening my mouth to them.

Same here...and I actually started getting calls on my cell phone from telemarketers in 2006. I hate see that ALL cell phones numbers are being released to telemarketers now. That just burns my butt. Guess I can expect more junk calls in the coming months. Oh well, just more calls I can ignore. I'll just pretend they're family. LOL :P
