No worries Skin and I don't think she's a bad actress and if you read my post I say she has the tools but she just doesn't use them, I feel her acting choices are bad (at times, not always) or she has very repetative acting which is not completely her fault since her storyline is completely repetative, not that she can't act. Self righteous and smug are not good acting choices for Babe ever let alone in scenes with Kendall who has never done a damn thing to Babe though I wish she would.

I agree Jenna. I think Alicia has really grown since working with Thorsten and I'm enjoying her subtle acting style these days.

I know. I think she has been absolutely terrific since she woke up from her coma. When she saw Spike for the first time I was ready to cringe because AM is not a strong crier but she did that so well, and when she had that jail scene with TK and she had one tear slide down her cheek, that was great.

storyline is completely repetative

I feel this sums up the entire show. Unfortunately. :( I see your point. I think lately she has gotten friendly in response to Kendell and I think she has tried to do a subtle joking type of scenes between her character and Kendell. I felt that way when she was going back and forth with Kendell about the "house".

I think it all adds up that they don't know what they want Kendell/Babe to be. Some times it's petty fighting and other's it's a bonding moment thus the difference in the scenes and total opposite outcomes during those scenes.

I think that some of that is actually the writing. As in Babe wanting Kendell to be civil to her while working. I don't think that is any fault of the actress. They can't change what is written or what there character does. I'm impressed with her and I see why she does things and I think Alexa is a great actress. She does emotional beats well and I think some of the dislike for the character is coloring into the actress. Which is to be expected.

Actually, I think that if Alexa had more depth we might see more in Babe. As it stands all I see is blah... I should see more than what's on the page and sadly, I do not.

I think she does well with what she is given. I do feel that she is torn in some shape or form between Josh and JR. I do see that she feels guilt over JR's accident. I think most of it just comes all through her eyes. Everything she is feeling guilt, sadness, I see her entire soul in her eyes and in her body language and facial expression. I think she is one of the better younger actresses AMC has. Right up their with Eden. But everyone sees things differently. She knows when not to over do it, when to push certaint things and when to be silent and how to say certaint things during emotional scenes that makes me feel for her and makes me see her as what she is supposed to be.

I think she does well in confusion, tragedy and those dramatic scenes. I remember when she went off when Little Adam almost died and she was frantcially trying to get her baby to breath. Then her looking over the crib and just steadily watching him. I thought she acted the hell out of those scenes.

I also think she is doing a phenomenal job now from telling the truth to dealing with the fall out of her actions. I see the guilt but also her scrabbling to try to make it better.

I also think that she was phenomenal during the baby switch. When Paul took her baby and her trying to dive into the lake to save her baby from drowning while Paul sedated her. Or when she just gave birth to her child and said it wasn't natural for her to not be with her child and how she felt something was wrong.

I think she is one of the better ones. But JMO.

Word. Alexa, at times, reminds me of Laura Wright, who brings a righteous entitlement to the character.

Amen! While it's not as severe as Laura Wright, it's definitely there. I just didn't want to add that gallon of fuel to this Alexa fire.

Alicia has definately improved; in particular, her crying scenes which were awful at best.

OMG, that's the truth! That cough-crying crap Alicia used to do made me want to gag!

*CoUgh!**cOuGh!* "WAAAAAH!" *cOugh!* "WAAAAAAAAAAAH!"*coUgH!**cOUGh!*

She has gotten much better!

Edit: And about disliking the character coloring the actress... I LOATHE Ryan, but I think Cameron is an absolute doll in real life and seems like a genuinely good guy. His acting is one note as well (I'm beyond tired of the blank look he constantly has in his face), but I think he's a good guy. I LOATHE Jacob Young's brand of "acting" but I feel for the JR character.
