I agree with the sketches, that's one of the main problems I have with the show. One they barely show the sketches, and two when they show them... they aren't that funny. The first two episodes were all about the "Crazy Christians" sketch, I thought the pay off would be seeing it... and letting the audience judge for themselves, but they didn't.

This show is terrible and a huge disappointment. The stories are very insulting to the audience, the whole show is a pretentious mess. Once the script leaked it was like "THis is the best new show"" and I don't think that helped.

Another thing that killed it is starting with a HUGE budget. I'm one who think Matthew Perry is annoying and miscast in the role. Had this been a smaller show like Sports Night, they'd go through exaustive casting sessions and find a more solid ensemble that has chemistry. Besides the high price cast members, the set, license fee, etc. mean that the show could never survive on decent ratings. It HAS to be a huge hit for NBC to make money and that was never going to happen with this type of show.

With some major retooling before it went to air it had a chance but now? I'm over it. I just hope Sorkin does a better job with his next show. This has no heart.

The show is terrible? Wow. Chris B., I so disagree. But it's a disappointment - the ratings are disappointing to me. I think it's a great show. But the budget was WAY too big.

Can it be saved? Probably not, but I hope so.
