ATWT: The Halloween Gala

It can not be that hard for the writers to give Carly a storyline that doesn't include the following:

Drugging someone

Cleaning up a crime scene

Going undercover in a sleezy bar

Joining in someone else's schemes....

I would love to see Carly in a storyline that is worth being proud of; one that doesn't have us saying WTF all the time; one that doesn't have us pulling our hair out.

Oh, yeah; so it begins with Katie writing yet another book to promote for another storyline. I looked at the book cover and all I have to say is: Is this the same Alina that is the moderator for the PGP board writing this book?

If you're into the wet chihuahua look...

No need to be jealous. It's one thing to hate a character but quite another to diss on the actress' looks especially when she's a very pretty girl. Care to post a picture of yourself so we can compare? What astounds me is the nerve a lot of people have when they are BEHIND A COMPUTER SCREEN.

I missed most of the show today!

*** Drat!****

I changed six clocks over the weekend but didn't change the VCR so it didn't tape either!!I wanted to see everybody's reaction to Jade and what went on with Craig!

Also, does anyone have the scriptwriter and director for today's show?

  • Member

Yep, it's the same Alina.

I thought Chazz hoisting up Babs was pretty almost hot.

The party is so stupid. I really don't see how Craig could have gotten out of the magician's box without anyone seeing. EVERYONE knows how that trick works. Seeing the good citizens of Oakie acting like it was "magic" was laughable.

Oh, and can we refrain from high school-ish posting? And that's coming from me, who isn't above a certain level of snark myself. But arguing about Lucy? Puh-leeze.

I liked today's show. There were parts I didnt like for example Carly and The Prince. And as for Lucy's costume I liked it a lot. I thought she was one of the best dressed. But of course thats my view on that. :P

Meh, today was kind of a filler episode; not a lot of much interest happened.

But geeeeez, Barbara and Dusty have about ten times as much chemistry as Dusty and Lucy do. Poor Lucy just fades into the wallpaper when they're all in the room together!

This jewel thing is beyond ridiculous; does Simon actually think Vienna's not going to notice or remember that he took the jewels? That maybe she'll just "ooops" drop them and not notice when he hightails it out of there with them in his hand? It's so silly.

Not any sillier than Casey and Will thinking up ways to make the entire benefit another showcase for Gwen and her Best Singer Ever story, I guess. I'm as tired of that as I am of the jewel story.

I was a fan of both the slasher story and the ice storm, but I'm not really seeing the point of this big event. So far all the stories getting tied into it are empty of any emotional resonance or payoff, which wasn't the case with the other two event stories.

Agreed!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

I want to punch Casey out. You would think he was Gwen's husband and not Will. The way he is pimping Gwen to Adam.

The only saving grace of that is that it actually is consistent with his character; he's still trying to 'make it up to her' about lying about Billy and so he's always trying to help her out, and he's been her biggest fan of her singing since Crash was opened. And I do think Will hit it on the head, and that another part of what's pushing Casey's aggression about this is that he wants to show off to his big brother Adam, and show him he knows music and talent as much as he does.

That said, the three brothers together crack me up; too bad they're about to start fighting over Jade (of all people!).

I guess Luke must have given Adam some "Accept Jade" juice or something....it's really not going to matter that the truth be told about Jade; Adam will be immune to all of that and accept her anyways,...which of course is just a plot device to begin with to keep Gwen and Will's relationship in constant turmoil.

Give Jade a relationship with someone that isn't connnected with the Munson/Hughes families, because I'm beyond tired of Jade constantly plotting and scheming amongst this teen set.

I hear ya.

I'm sick of the Gwill propping and the Jade is Satan shtick.

Jade is BY FAR the most interesting character in that stupid teen gang.

What they should be doing is pairing Jade with Dallas; maybe then we can see more of Jessica in the process.

ETA:

The new mid bumper featured:

Jade

Lucinda (FINALLY)....La Walsh looks FIERCE

Carly and Jack together (a new shot)

Lily and Holden

I noticed the new bumpers too! Looked great!

Jen Landon did an awesome job singing today!

Ah, so Craig's plan is revealed. Zzzzzz.

I have to say, I really appreciate that the writers haven't dropped Maddie's recovery storyline, and have continued to show her getting her feet back under her and trusting her relationship with Casey again. It's felt pretty organic, too; during the ice storm, Casey went to check on her because he knew she was afraid of the dark and they had a long talk about everything. And today -- Halloween -- someone busts into the dorm room dressed as the slasher. Of course it would happen at the dorm, and of course some idiot kid would think it was "funny".

Unfortunately, I don't see any sparks between Adam and Jade, so I'm not looking forward to that continuing. I like Jade as a character, because she's a total sociopath who does what she does because she so desperate for a home and attention and she doesn't have the slightest clue how to get that. Softening her or making her a victim in any way is a mistake.

The Ball is big nothing. I expect events like this to tie up everyone together, not have people off on their own little island.

Usually, big events happen at these things. Bombs, poisonous gas... ANYTHING! Instead it's the same boring crap wrapped in yards of silk.

-After today, I think it's pretty safe to say TIIC WILL write in MW's pregnancy.
