Season Finale Spoilers

Susan will make a "series altering decision". Gaby's fate will also be in question as she gets caught up in the conclusion of the Angie Bolen mystery. Bree will figure out Sam is not as saintly as she thought, and that he knows one of the Van de Kamp family's darkest secrets. Lynnette will discover her son's friend Eddie is the strangler just as her water is breaking.

By the end of this episode one couple will put their home on the market and move-a decision that will stick for next season. You won't believe the identity of the long-absent Wisterian who offers to rent their place.

Last night's episode was VERY well done. I love how they told it from the killer's perspective. Was also surprised to see Mary Alice. Has she appeared in every season? I think the last time we saw her was when Katherine joiend but dont recall anything last year

Here's an article about that Cheap

Desperate Housewives’ omnipresent Brenda Strong spends a lot of time being heard but not seen as the show’s empathetic narrator, deceased Wisteria Lane matriarch Mary Alice Young, but the actress tells TV Guide Magazine she’ll be back on screen in both voice and body for the April 25 episode.

“I will be on-camera on Desperate Housewives, not just doing the voice,” said Strong, who’ll reprise her character in flashback – her first physical appearance on the show since season five in January 2009. “They did a really nice arc for Mary Alice where she is on camera to illuminate the history of one of our more mysterious characters on Wisteria Lane, so there’s some juicy stuff.”

As Mary Alice tends to reappear at crucial moments in the show’s history, is this a pivotal point in the current season? “Absolutely – this is the ‘Do not miss’ episode!” said Strong. “You see a different side of Mary Alice that has never been revealed before.”

“I think traditionally you always see Mary Alice’s warmth and her loneliness and a little bit of a sense that she’s removed because she was carrying such a big burden,” the actress revealed. “In this specific episode, you get to see her fierceness. And you get to see her compassion, and those are the two aspects of the character that I was so happy to be able to bring forward. Because interestingly enough, you get to see a lot of the other characters and really know who they are, but Mary Alice is still a bit of a mystery. So to see these other layers that we haven’t had a chance to see yet brings a freshness to the show from a familiar place. I think it’s much more fulfilling on a lot of levels, at least for me.”

Strong explained that series creator Marc Cherry typically holds off bringing Mary Alice back in flashback, saving her appearances for key episodes – sometimes to the actresses’ frustration (she still shows up on set every week for each script’s table read). “I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gone to him and said ‘You know, wouldn’t it be great if Mary Alice had a sister, or somebody moved on to the Lane that looks just like Mary Alice and let’s find out who she is?’” Strong laughed. “I’m constantly trying to figure out ways to get back onto Wisteria Lane in a more integral role.”

“But the way Marc likes to bring Mary Alice on is in a standalone episode that flashes back to a particular time,” she explained. “Like we did last year with the 100th episode with Beau Bridges. And everyone gets a chance to look back at some pivotal event from a different perspective.”

“It’s very difficult – and I really can appreciate this about our writers – to write in flashbacks when you’re constantly trying to move the storyline forward,” Strong said, “so it almost has to be a standalone event, which is special because then you have these great episodes that really are complete in and of themselves. You don’t have to have watched the week before to know what’s going to be happening. There’s enough history there present already. I hope it turns out as well as I feel like it will.”

thanks for the article.

Oh one thing Ive always wondered and thought of again last night was how many damn people live on that lane!? It feels as if we've been introduced to dozens of neighbors already. I mean, really?

Oh one thing I didnt find beleivable was how ugly the killer and his mother's house was. The people on Wysteria Lane would have complained about that and had her forced to take care of her property. That trashiness brings the value of the community down and she could be fined for it. Heck those women went and complained when the gays had a figurine on their front lawn, that they didnt like. I cant see them letting this house get as bad as it did bc it looks like it belonged in the slums

Eddie doesn't live on Wisteria Lane, he lives in Fairview (Mary Alice in the intoduction of the episode: "There is a house in the town of Fairview..."). Eddie answered when Gabby asked him where he lives... " A couple of streets over".

And when Lynette talked to To about Eddie she mentioned how they used to gossip about Eddie's mom. Since the house isn't on Wisteria Lane I'm not sure they have any rights to demand changes...

thanks. That makes sense now. I can see Bree having a fit if a house like that was on her street

Well I thought the season finale last night was all right, kind of rushed between Eddie's story and the Bolens being wrapped up. I mean we didn't even see Eddie being arrested or Lynette's family reaction to the truth about Eddie and the baby's birth. Patrick being blown up to pieces was fun, I was disappointed because John Barrowman wasn't very good in the role, more like out of place. Paul showing up at the end was fun, and I wonder if

MJ is not the son of Mike and Susan

. Oh and is Orson gone for good? I've heard McLachlan was leaving.

I thought hte finale was horrible and underwhelming. It seemed like a regualr episode. The only part that felt finalish to me that I liked was the twist with Angie. I thought she was going to die but I liked how she lived and ended blowing up the car. Speaking of which, I thought that was it for her and she'd be in jail. A car blows up in the middle of the street in which she kills someone and people dont call the cops? No investigation? She just slips out of town hours later? They downpkayed her storyline when it should have been a bigger deal. At least I thought it would be from the promos

The serial killer story was also a disappointment considering its been playing the entire season. They wrapped it up too nicely. This guy did horrific thigns and is a psychopath, even if they tried to portray him as sympathetic. I think they should have at least shown the cops arresting him. I really wish we could have seen Susan's reaction to finding out he's the one that nearly killed Julie

Bree's drama. Im glad they finally brought up that Andrew killed Carlos' mother and that she covered it up. I thought she was a hypocrite when she made Orson go to prison and Im glad he called her out on it. She should have gone to prison as well bc covering it up was a crime. If Gabby told her to confess in order to make things right, would she? I think not. She was dead wrong in what she made Orson do, considering her own sins.

Speaking of which, how lame that this has been a secret since the FIRST season, and they've finally waited this long to reveal it (what nearly 10 years due to the jump) and she tells it to Gabby off screen. WTF? I wanted to hear it and to see Gabby's reaction. Gabby hated her mother in law and I think the true reaction would have been Carlos' which is why I wanted the confession to be told to both of them at the same time. I guess next season will open up with them hating Bree but too bad we will have missed the immediate aftermath.

The big twist in the end is that Paul Young returns. Really? I kinda figured it would be him bc he's the only male that I could think of that wasnt dead with strong ties to the women. I was almost 80% sure it was him before the reveal and the other part thought we'd get a Rex lookalike. How the heck could Susan not know who she rented her house to? Unless he alterd his name, it makes no sense. Why wouldnt she meet the person before singing away her house? Who the F does that? And why is him returnign such a big deal? He didnt have any issues with the women. The one who sent him to prison was Martha's sister by framing him for murder. He has no reason to cause trouble to anyone but her, and she's faked her death

I also picked out MJ as the misplaced kid, which doesnt surprise me one it. I never understood why they casted a blond kid to be Susan and Mike's child. Yeah it can happen but with their genetics, they are more likel to have a dark haired child. He wasnt even a dirty blonde or a dark shade. His hair is pretty light and I always wondered if they came home with the right kid

Soapfan I wondered the same thing, especially since they showed Susan holding a baby in that segment.

Yeah I was disappointed we didn't get to see Tom's reaction to the baby having been born.

I thought Angie turning the tables with the bomb was awesome

That was the best part of the show. I didn't see that coming. I felt everything was rushed. It should have been a 2 hour season finale.

Well Wisteria Lane is in Fairview as well, so they all live in the same city....just in different areas.

I definantly will be watching full time next season when Vanessa is on, I hope her character isn't a flop like Alfre Woodards, they did her wrong.

Ha! For them to add a black woman, I always thought it needed to be a hot sexy one like Vanessa Williams. I like Alfre, but she was too matronly and didnt have it poppin like the other housewives. She felt like an odd fit. Vanessa has the sex appeal to vamp it up and fit right in on Wisteria Lane

Before I followed the link, I thought you were referring to Vanessa Marcil and I thought "oh dear lord, WHY?!?" Haha
