May 26, 201015 yr Member You people just gave me a brain aneurysm. Half way through the thread, I think I'm getting a headache from all the theories. The ending was mind numbingly beautiful while lacking a great bit of logic. However when did this show ever have an ounce of logic? I think Toups summed up my opinion perfectly; the finale was more of an ending to the relationships we saw develop on the show rather than a end to all the mysteries. One thing I have not seen mentioned on here is Daniel's mother and the chalk drawing machine lmao. How does math equations figure into all of this? What about Ben magically teleporting from underneath the island to Africa? Oy vey. Maybe I'm nonchalant about this because like others in this thread, I didn't follow the show for all the seasons, but I can understand where fans like Sylph are coming from. The creators really gave a big F--- you to those who stuck it out for every season, enduring each dead end plot. Edited May 26, 201015 yr by MichaelGL
May 26, 201015 yr Member You people just gave me a brain aneurysm. Oh, well. Maybe I'm nonchalant about this because like others in this thread, I didn't follow the show for all the seasons, but I can understand where fans like Sylph are coming from. The creators really gave a big F--- you to those who stuck it out for every season, enduring each dead end plot. I'm not mad they didn't answer it all. I knew they wouldn't and it would be unreasonable. (However, I have to point back at the io9.com comment which said: Don't ask questions [in your TV show] you don't have an answer to.) I'm just disappointed. It was just a huge cop-out, cheap & lazy.

June 4, 201015 yr Member hi, Just finished watching the final episode I taped last week. It was'nt a 100% satisfying end but it works for me. I still have a few questions about the islands past and what happened to Hurley, Ben, Rose, Bernhard, Desmond and the others like Cindy and the children after Jack died. But on the other hand, maybe it's better we don't know everything. Sometimes your imagination is an better version. I enjoyed the series all it's six seasons, but overall the first and second are the best. Rob

May 28, 201114 yr Member Okay, wow, during the last couple of months I went through seasons 3, 4 and 5, and I must say I am completely amazed at how great this show is. I believe someone once told me I should quit the show if I fell out of the habit of watching it, but thankfully I didn't... I loved season one, was a bit skeptical in season two, but when I opened my mind to new things it went great. Season three was good, season four was amazing as the events in the season three finale opened up such a war... and then onto season five with the time jumps... Damn, the show was just on fire. I can say one thing - I don't remember when was the last time I watched an episode of ANY show without at least two-three times checking out how many minutes I've got left... with Lost it's just different. I just finished LA X of season six, and I pray that I'll somehow understand this flash-sideways thing...

I still however want to know what the heck they were going with Walt, why was he so important to the Others and then all of a sudden he wasn't???

I don't think there was much the show could do about Walt. The kid grew 2 feet in a year. He had to be written out.
