Yes, I think in the end they will definitely end up settling a substantial amount of money on Ari. But, they will drag it out & wrangle & stupidly say what obviously did happen, did not & that will be in the news every day. And, California courts are far behind in timeliness. Plus, others could come forward or even a class action suit. Whoa.

It may tank the show & seal the deal that Peacock will not renew for another time. If they were smart they'd act fast & settle on her & rehire her & maybe those optics would outweigh the current & upcoming UGH. She's going to win at least the first half but it sounds like they've already dug in. It is amazing Corday has the nerve to say the claims are baseless given what is already on record. An attorney should have made him say "No comment."

All soaps recast roles when they need to. Soaps couldn't exist without successful recasts. It is a hallmark of soaps that they do recast roles! Susan Seaforth Hayes is Julie#4!- DAYS: February 2024 Discussion Thread

Oh, yes, I support Ari 💯 Also I have a sinking feeling that this could do the show in. But, I feel confident that her claims are righteous & God only knows Corday had plenty of chances to get it right. He only has himself to blame that it has come to this.- GH: O’Connor/Van Etten OUT! That's excellent! Are the two second generation soap family women among them? Emily Culliton & Karen Hall? Are any women of color?- DAYS: February 2024 Discussion Thread

Yes, he said he thought he was staying on ... and then he found out he wasn't. I figure that was likely Janet making that decision. Can't imagine who else. Anyway, WTG, person who made that decision! Boorah!- Another World Discussion Thread
⏫🔼⬆️⤴️🔝 THIS. In spades. Petronia Paley was a jewel.- DAYS: Vet out!
Well, sure the optics are awful but beyond optics the reality is even worse. I am encouraged that Janet showed Burton the door, though. That's one positive decision made. And, not only Nadia, but more people. He had years unchecked by anyone. If there's one, there's likely a dozen. If you recall the blind item, it said he targeted the youngest women, especially. Like maybe why Lindsay Arnold left, for one possible example.- ALL: Errors, Myths, Omissions & Firsts that weren't
Okay, finally got the equivalency. Thanks to a GL & Venice fan who is part of #BirdTwitter. May 30, 1984 Steve & Betsy wed on ATWT. A 7.8 rating where each point equals 849,000 people comes to 6,662,200 people so really way below the "lie" of 20 million & well below Doug & Julie's 16 million, too! If anyone wants to check my math I will not be offended.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
12-20-91 Day 30 (2-7-24) Today Roman is in the Christmas spirit. So is Marlena. OG Brothers Brady in matching brown leather jackets are out doing their shopping. Carly is impatient with Mickey & wanting to bring a civil suit against Victor, including something about a sabotaged elevator. Mickey insists the criminal case against Vic must go forward first. Lawrence sidles up to Carly & he annoys her. Roman not at all a jerk & in fact he & Marlena are both teasing about secrets & wrapped packages & very loving, stopping in the middle of things to kiss passionately. John finally gets that dadgummed satchel back from the ISA & it has nothing of use in it! John is so frustrated that he is a jerk to Isabella. There's a piece of jewelry, a chain, that could have belonged to anyone. There is a picture burned around four edges only leaving the middle. It's a woman but that's all you can tell. End of day & Carly is reading "Alice in Wonderland" to ShawnD. Then she & Bo make love. Elsewhere Roman & Marlena do, too. John is outside, wandering. Izzy wants him to move in. He will only commit to a few days at a time. In the closing credits, after all the other actors have been named, it reads with Wayne Northrup as Roman Brady and Deidre Hall as Marlena Evans This is the special billing they got when they returned to the show.- Your daily (or nightly) thought

Two examples brought in from outside: Pete Lemay & Hogan Sheffer. Both had good & bad points, naturally, but both were ... fresh, different, etc. And both created at least one Renaissance, Lemay at AW & Sheffer at ATWT. Also, Michael Malone was an outsider & his first go round with Gottlieb and Griffith was insanely brilliant, although he was never able to repeat it. (OLTL) Have there been other outsiders? And, I don't mean network people who crossed over like Rauch & Swajeski.- GH: Character Recast
Absolutely. First rule of thumb. People get to decide what they choose to believe. People have the right to change their minds. Information is just information. It is not an assault on you. Confucius did not say these things but perhaps if he'd been online & in social media, then maybe he would have.- DAYS: February 2024 Discussion Thread

Thanks, dude! I'm like a dog with a bone, specifically a terrier. I persevere. If you think that is what was happening, you have completely misunderstood. This was not "stuff I read or heard on other sites." Period. Full Stop. Good Grief, if it were on another site, there'd have been no issue with sourcing it.
