Ava really put her on the spot & in a bad way. You could really tell that Trina didn't like it, not one bit. Trina & Joss talked it over, intelligently, while being aware that Ava's room at the MC overlooks the pool area, which is where they were. After they caught up, Gio & Trina had this nothing little conversation but the thing that was striking was how they were grinning so big at each other. If they're going to have them become more than friends, I wish they would get it going.

We do not always armchair psychoanalyze all writers but with Ron, we do. It's not like he has internalized homophobia, it's more like he only likes certain gays. I mean who doesn't like Will & Sonny? Ron. And, take Challie, for an example. He didn't like gay girls at all. Which brings up another Ron Thing, misogyny. So, the only gays he likes are the Leo Stark ones. We haven't even seen today but I gave Maxie the Hero of the Week. Her speech was amazing! Maxie: I'm saying the opposite of that. What Deception cannot afford is to have a "Face" representing us who is ashamed of who she is, of being gay. Deception is a diverse organization, made up of many people, YouTubers, TikTockers, influencers, many of whom are gay & proud of it. And, they represent a very large social media presence. Deception cannot align itself with someone who is ashamed of being gay. Deception is a gay friendly company. So, Natalia, you & Blaze either get with the program or kick rocks. Well, the network expansion began with Pete Lemay. P&G asked him to create another half hour soap for them. He told them that his preference would be to take AW to an hour. They didn't know what to think about that. Lin Bolen, VP Daytime NBC, ran the numbers & realized the network could double their ad revenue. She took the lead then. They did a test show, an hour, with AW & then they made a plan & set a date & went forward with moving to an hour show. Pete had dreamt of 6-7 minutes scenes. Instead he got more 3 minute scenes. Fairly quickly he regretted the expansion to an hour. Of course, it required changes in the show & those first changes came through the writing. Next up, more actors. Today I did a re-watch of the first 3 days of this week. Only Sonny is maybe giving Natalia a pass. Without question every other single person was not only appalled at Natalia but totally unwilling to let Natalia continue to spew garbage in any of their presences. EVERYONE at Deception judged Natalia harshly. Which is what she deserves, of course. Maxie: I didn't mean that part. In 1991 when both Deidre & Wayne returned, Eric & Sami, hadn't even been to Colorado to live with the Evanses yet much less been SORAS'd while they were gone so Sami, who came back alone first, wasn't a kid anymore but a tweener, I guess. At any rate John was the only parent they knew in 1991.

I know people who talk about that story as if it is holy. To them it is a story that happened to someone they know or themselves & that they never saw anyone anywhere ever even attempt to touch "their story" till DAYS did with Nancy/Craig/Leo. To them it is hugely important. I've been in the middle of trashing the story because it was so wrong to use Craig & Nancy & been brought up short by their very different remarks. They talk about their lived experience, marrying a woman & having children & having no clue they were gay & then realizing & their whole worlds coming apart at the seams. They taught me to shut the hell up.

You're right. Looks like a regular person without benefit of Hair & Makeup. I thought some other couple should have been used to tell that story of a guy coming to his sexual realization late in life. It was ridiculous using Nancy & Craig in that story.

I wish I could remember. I'm pretty sure I watched it. My mother did, too. I don't think we knew. But, I can't be sure. So long ago. And, I do not think Strasser was herself pregnant. But, again, I am not sure.

You know me. I don't get upset about Dwyer. But, to me, no one, EVER, was Alice except for JC!!! And, I am quite sure that George Reinholt was both a jerk and an a**hole but, damn, he was at least a third of those incredible ratings. I wish that Paul Rauch had had the stones to make Reinholt behave & placated Pete Lemay so we could have had that Steve & Alice. They were not only the core of the triangle Agnes created when she saved the show, they were also a much beloved couple.

Is it just me or does she look like hell?!!! At any rate, I can't begin to imagine her return. When we last saw her, it was very weird. We were supposed to buy that she began dating Mike after they saw each other for about 15 minutes in Salem.

If you weren't new here you'd know that there is fairly universal agreement that Pete Lemay's biggest blunder was not wanting Jacqueline Courtney as Alice. Although it was up to Paul Rauch to fire or not to fire, so the ultimate buck stops there. But, we know getting rid of JC began with Lemay. I mean he admits that in print. Of course, he doesn't think he was wrong. We, however, do!

Something that we do know about a lot of that "miraculous" time period is that NBC asked P&G to sell AW to them. (They wanted to own their soaps like ABC.) When P&G said NO, then they tried actively to kill the show & get it off the air & put a new show on in its place that they owned. P&G fought them not just for years, but for decades. Personally I call that internecine warfare behind the scenes. I think I may have stolen that from a long-time AW poster here & there, Wade Golden. It was a post of his, years ago, that opened up my eyes to NBC's chicanery, skullduggery, etc.

About Trina, tired of being patient. Give her some story & do it as close to yesterday as is possible. That is all.

You can see people on twiX saying almost anything. And it's clear that many of those people are not watching the show daily. The fanbase wars & the agendas people have truly warp discussion.
