Dynasty: Discussion Thread
Nah, Adam's been out of Fallon's orbit for a while now and a male Carrington heir can stand on his own storylinewise. Now that they're going all-in as him as the resident doctor/chief of staff it should also provide him with storylines.

Full Episodes of ‘Days of our Lives’ to Stream Exclusively on Peacock
That's likely the case here - with Peacock and NBC being so closely affiliated anyway there's no real use for it.

Dynasty: Discussion Thread
I feel like the reveal that Amanda exists in this universe might be bad news for Kirby if they feel like they need to clear space to have another young female on the cast...

It just seems like she'll pop in for another one-episode plot for Liam / Fallon, sigh...

DAYS: Actress returns
SUZANNE ROGERS RETURNS TO "DAYS"... Several "Days" actors have mentioned recently that Suzanne Rogers has returned to work at "Days", so look for Maggie's return later in the year! This is only the second time since Rogers joined "Days" in August 1973 that she has been off-screen for more than 3 months in a row (November 1984-July 1985 and February 2021-Present).

Unfortunately, they film too far ahead at this point to bring Laura back (I think they're finishing up the season in mid-July), but yeah. They managed to get Kelly Rutherford back a few times, so I hope they'll do the same with Laura. It's a shame they're not at least making her recurring because I think she'd appeal to a lot of Gen-Y/Millenials who remember her as Sydney in Melrose.

DAYS: June 2021 Discussion Thread
To be fair, from Chanel's introduction it does seem like they've always had a kind of inapproriate parent/child situation where Paulina would probably more often than not act as her friend instead of her mother (hence why Paulina putting her foot down re: money came as a shock). But maybe that's just me giving Ron too much credit because I doubt he's really thought about their background story that much.

Dynasty: Discussion Thread
I don't think Cristal is going to die - it's too obvious. I guess in the OG Krystle did some pretty crazy [!@#$%^&*] due to her tumour (plate-throwing!) and even threatened Alexis that she could kill her and get away with it, so maybe Cristal will end up literally murdering somebody. They usually have good sets on nu-Dynasty but the mine set did look awful. I guess fake rocks are harder to make look real and they couldn't stage a cave-in in a real location.

Dark Shadows Discussion Thread
lol, to be fair he says specifically that he's not a reclusive and obviously never was - he just left the business in his teens. It's funny that people think that moving away from showbusiness means that you've obviously had a meltdown and spending rest of your life shunning strangers.

Dark Shadows Discussion Thread
Well, he hasn't acted in 50 years, so he probably just does these interviews to promote his business / keep some contact with other cast members.

I wonder if this is opening up for a Peter return? Probably not, but if Missy won't come back then why the hell not really.

That conference room doesn't look *too* bad at least.

Soap Vet Joins Bold and Beautiful as Finn's Father!!!
Huhm. How bad must she have been if she started filming and the footage was left on the floor, especially with how budget-conscious DAYS is?

Dynasty: Discussion Thread
I agree that Fallon-Liam seems stuck in one episode plot hell; I wouldn't have minded if the Nash situation had lasted around 3 episodes - not too long to become tedious but also long enough to provide some variety to the one-episode-and-solved thing they're doing. Laura Leighton will guest star in two weeks from now; I kind of hope she does more than one episode a la Kelly Rutherford ended up doing. I guess if Culhane marries Alexis in an unexpected move we might count on him dying - remember that Alexis was supposed to become rich after someone she marries dies. Though maybe they've forgotten about that lol.

Dynasty: Discussion Thread
I'm not sure that'll happen tbh. They normally start filming in August, but had to start in October (for obvious reasons); Daniela was due to give birth in December and said she'd miss two episodes due to maternity leave, so we may have hit the point where she's off to give birth since she wasn't in this episode and normally they film 13 episodes between August-December, which would've been about halved due to the late start.

Dynasty: Discussion Thread
Culhane is probably the most expandable cast member at this moment to the point I'm wondering if he's even on the same show.

I think we all called it to be fair - Rolf is going to have turned out swapping Adrienne / Bonnie's memories for... nefarious reasons. Honestly, if he found Adrienne too boring to write for there's no reason why he couldn't have just added a "fun" element to her instead to kill her off to begin with.

DAYS: June 2021 Discussion Thread
To be fair to Alison, she's always kept fairly timeless styles and not really given into any obvious trends, which has made them age a lot better than the styles Christie was rocking, who were all over the place.

DAYS: June 2021 Discussion Thread
To be fair, Carrie's hair wasn't outdated, it was just very 90s and seemed to follow every bad trend at the moment. I'm not sure that's on Christie or the hair department though. Hogestyn's was just weirdly out-of-date and pretty much once the mullet trend ended everyone started mocking it because it was so bad.

DAYS: June 2021 Discussion Thread
It reminds me of how Hogestyn had that awful haircut for ages until he finally just accepted that his hair was grey. I wonder if BD is in the same situation that he fears that changing his hair will age him.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Discussion Thread
You know, I've said that I can understand the Melrose producers for getting pissed with Hunter Tylo for getting pregnant just as she was cast; not that she didn't deserve her settlement but I at least get why they weren't pleased. I don't get getting angry with Charisma at all - she had been on his shows for six years at that point and by all accounts was a team player; at the same time, newly married woman in her early 30s getting pregnant isn't exactly shocking, it's something that just kind of happens and something you plan around just in case. I guess not out-right firing her for getting pregnant saved him a settlement even if it's blatantly obvious that it's what happened.

I think that shows you how much the broadcast landscape have changed - the repeat leading into the being relatively close to the season premiere, but also putting a huge season premiere like that at Friday at 10. Definitively wouldn't happen today.

I think OG Dynasty is on CWSeed or CBS All Access (now Paramount+?, I can't keep up), remastered even.

DAYS: June 2021 Discussion Thread
Durant is just too soap opera bland. She's... ok, but Keegan just had this quirky vibe about her that made Claire stand out. With Durant Claire just fades into the background with the other "good girls".
