Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
BH Rinna is a shameless attention whore. When Sutton whipped out those receipts all she did was shrug because she knew she'd been caught red handed in her lie. Kyle is disgusting. Loyal to no one. The way she hurled Sutton under the bus in the car with Dorit and PK. Diana doesn't impress me. That face of hers has shape shifted over the last couple of decades... Good for Garcelle for getting up and leaving. Good for Sutton for telling Erika to f*ck herself and shut the f*ck up. She is not intimidated by that sow.

B&B May 2022 Official Discussion Thread
I've just watched the reveal episodes and Kimberlin has this ability to cast a dark shadow over her face...her expression totally changes and she inhabits this darkness. It's kind of incredible. Krista Allen was really good in the moment where Taylor thunders "YOU KNEW!" to Sheila...considering she's a late in the character's run recast, she's got the character nailed down.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
RHONJ Teresa is demented. Throw a straight jacket on her and lock her up in the psych ward. The woman is a lunatic. When Luis whispered to her "If you love me you will calm down" I had to conclude that he knows exactly what he's dealing with. When Andy said "Teresa is on another 'Teresa Go 'Round' I had to conclude that production knows Teresa doesn't make sense anymore and she's totally illogical. The rest of the women know it too. The husbands know it too. The looks on everyone's faces when Luis said "Thank you, Margaret" and "I agree with everything [Margaret] said" and when he gave Margaret a hug as he walked offstage...Bill, Joe G, Joe B, Melissa...it was palpable. Luis said, repeatedly, that Margaret isn't to blame for anything and that it was all out there and that he can see that she was trying to give him an 'out' and get ahead of the story. That should have been the end of the discussion. But Teresa would not be swayed. She's become hard to watch because she takes zero accountability and doesn't seem to have a firm grasp on reality.

Sheree pinned her down and annihilated her without breaking a sweat. Drew is not bright and she struggles to match anyone verbally. Ahem, those are the Josh Flagg and Tracy Tutor from Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles. They're both lots of fun. Josh is friends with lots of older Los Angeles socialites that make Kyle look the realtor's wife from the wrong side of Bel Air that she is...

Dynasty: Discussion Thread
Totally understand, but they could have easily written in former cast members in new parts (Joan as Blake's mother for a guest shot, for example) as a nod to the past.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
BH You've got to hand it to the Beverly Hills ladies, they know how to do a season opener... Dorit: you never know what's real and what's fake with her and PK. Some of it seemed rehearsed, but as @j swift said that might simply be a result of having to retell the story to the police, the ladies, PK, and then the cameras. Or not. EJ Global: a foul succubus. Kyle: I really don't enjoy any scenes with her family. I just don't find them charming in the slightest. Rinna: totally agree with @Gray Bunny that long sleek hair confessional look is excellent. However, she continues to grate and I have yet to see her have a storyline of her own in years. Garcelle: fabulous. That is all. Sutton: I thought it was such a bad look for her to be dismissive about Dorit, even if she thinks it's all a scam. That is the ammunition someone like Kyle dreams of using. Crystal: I like that she installed a pizza oven in her basement.

Dynasty: Discussion Thread
I thought it was awful and such a slap in the face that none of the original cast were involved, so I won't mourn this one at all.

Erika remains absolutely awful and unrepentant and full of sh*.

soap opera sets and set designers
For me, Y&R will always own this category because its sets stood the test of time and only in the last decade, as new producers came in with their own 'vision' were some of those timeless sets destroyed. Y&R has the advantage of being based in California. The NYC based soaps always had to make do with limited space and they all did very well. The Chancellor mansion, the Newman Ranch, the Abbott mansion, Gina's restaurant, the GC Athletic Club Rooftop, Victor/Diane's penthouse (now that was a stunning set with multiple shooting angles), Jill's office, the Jabot boardroom, the GC Hospital (with room for an ambulance to drive in and for the doors to the ER to swing open)...up until 2010 or so there were very few dud sets. Y&R obviously invested a lot of money into their sets and it showed.

Bold & Beautiful - April 2022 Episode Counts
I've long been curious about whether certain actors have contracts that don't have guarantees - they're either paid a set salary regardless of how many they film or they have a deal where they come in and out of cycle and are unpaid.

This detail should never have been left on the cutting room floor. It is no wonder Heather et al hate Noella:

Y&R and B&B May Sweeps Spoilers
The B&B spoilers sound like the storyline has actually been planned out. I'm here for any Jill appearances on Y&R. If they have her tangle with Diane, even for one scene, all the better.

ARTICLE: ‘Days of our Lives’ Star John Aniston to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award
Very deserving recipient. I hope Victor's coterie of wives (Koslow, Chappell, Zuker, Sorel) are all able to pay tribute to him and that Jennifer Aniston is as well.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Yes, Lydia spread a rumour that Bruce was gay, and as Chyka and Bruce's business took them around the world, including doing events in homophobic countries, they were livid. It's also interesting that Lydia would spread a rumour like that...as if being gay is somehow a flaw, which is inherently itself a homophobic thing to do. I've never warmed to Lydia because I think there's a malevolent streak to her that I've never seen in any of the others, including Pettifleur who was just heinous and self absorbed like a black hole.

Dynasty Discussion Thread
John James, Gordon Thomson, and Jack Coleman have been doing a three man show where they talk about Dynasty and last week Dame Joan, Maxwell Caulfield, and Pamela Bellwood joined them to watch their show in Los Angeles. As it was John James' birthday, a cake was presented, and of course Dame Joan got to cut it. There's often been discussion about the various 'camps' in the Dynasty cast, but there was never any doubt that those in this picture got along very well.

RIP Helmut Huber
It's very interesting that Liza had responded with a simple and elegant 'Thank you' to basically every single comment about Helmut's passing and then she decided to post that one. Estrangements happen in families and some are trivial and some are healthy and some are neither of those things...this type of display is just sad.

ATWT LEGEND KATHRYN HAYS PASSES AWAY
I was never a regular ATWT viewer, but if you’re a fan of daytime television, you knew Kathryn Hayes was one of the greats of the genre. Class, elegance, and warmth. May her memory be a blessing.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Absolutely agree re the RHONJ fashion lewks for this reunion. Jennifer easily looks the best and they're all dressed beyond tacky. Not a flattering look for Dolores who always looks great physically (clothing taste aside). Teresa's outfit it just horrendous and the idea of her walking into a mirror is true to life. Absolutely. Like Maya Angelou said, when people show you who they are, believe them. The first time. Kyle has been showing the audience who she is for more than a decade now and every single time she proves herself to be a terrible person. My RHOBH Trailer Thoughts: What a trailer. It delivered. Garcelle is going to be an MVP - she is not afraid of Erotica Lame one little bit. Diana is going to be a villain and I don't think I'll like her by the end of the season. I felt a little sad for Rinna when it comes to coping without her mom like @Taoboi said. They demons are turning on Kathy...but they are so stupid to underestimate her and think she won't triumph. Sutton is probably going to have a messy season. Erika is going to come across so poorly it's not even going to be funny. The new lawsuit that names her and basically describes everything at Girardi & Keese as a Ponzi scheme is wild.

B&B April 2022 Discussion Thread
I think killing off Finn is a grave mistake. A character not related to a core family is what B&B needs more of. However, I think Kimberlin’s performance was excellent and that scene with Sheila brushing her hair like a maniac was original and smart and creepy.

RIP Helmut Huber
No, they sold their Hamptons house about 6 years ago for $20 million. They’ve always lived full time in Garden City on Long Island - the same town Susan grew up in.

Exactly what I was thinking. The last few years Kyle has looked especially great but she has done something and it's tipped her over the edge.

Josh Griffith interview from SOD: a whole new YR
Alden laid the groundwork for that. She had Jill drinking a lot and right when Jill dumped Sean she had this great scene where Jill says she doesn't want to be some old woman whose trying to be with a man she can't keep, then reaches for a decanter, withdraws her hands, looks in that gilded mirror in the Chancellor living room, and cries. It was only after LML that this bizarre 'St. Katherine of the Boardroom' character emerged and Katherine was now depicted as some savvy businesswoman when she was really a bored, vengeful socialite. It's very bizarre writing. You won't convince me that Natalie Minardi Slater or Janice Ferri Esser wouldn't like to take a crack as HW.

RIP Helmut Huber
Here are two videos that highlight their relationship and how important Helmut was to Susan. Theirs was an enviable marriage where they were true partners who backed each other up. I hope these kinds of memories give Susan great comfort. For Harper's Bazaar, where Helmut and Susan cook: Her Emmy win, where she said he'd been with her every step of the way:
