Sykes was AWFUL. I thought JB was so sexy on AW (with its moodier lighting especially). And he had a certain charm in clips as Phillip.

I don’t think people are saying he’s lying. It’s more they’re saying it’s a (admittedly far less cynical and less eyeroll-worthy) Kevin Spacey-esque diversion from the horrible press he’s gotten. Certainly it’s created more positive sentiment for him than he’s had recently. He was really getting slammed, and a lot of people are still angry GMA “gave him a platform” (which I don’t agree with—it’s their job to do this stuff).

Colton, best known as the Bachelor Who Jumped the Fence, just came out as gay to Robin Roberts on GMA. There had been plenty of speculation. But after his season, he had all of these disturbing stalking allegations toward a (female) contestant, so this could be an attempt at PR rehab (not saying he’s lying about being gay, but he’s clearly troubled to put it mildly): Lol awkward

They’ve committed to making this series “diverse,” which at least gets my attention. The writer who is doing the reboot, Stephen Dunn, also worked on Apple TV’s immigration series “Little America,” which I haven’t seen but has been well received. Dunn is white, but episode he wrote and directed dealt with a gay male refugee from Syria, which suggests he won’t shy away from current-day politics.

If I were Delon de Metz (Zende), I would NOT want to be shirtless in the same scene as Lawrence Saint-Victor. This show needs to figure out how to advance story. Liam and Bill have had the same conversation every day for a week. Enough already. It happens with basically every story. A lot of stalling.

I wonder how CLB would look with a beard. It would have been interesting if Victoria had stumbled on Chelsea’s plot and had gotten in on it. Victoria’s relationship with Victor doesn’t progress. Rinse, repeat, zzzzz.

“As the great Whitney Houston said, ‘My name is not Susan...’” Hat’s off to the scriptwriter. Jackée’s delivery and facial expressions are A+. All the soaps are bad, but only DAYS tries—and unlike GH, often succeeds—in entertaining.

Erika/Rinna/Kyle just feel the Carly/Jason/Sonny of BH to me. Unpopular with a large portion of the audience, yet still allowed to stomp their way through the show with impunity and little pushback, at least in the most recent seasons. Makes the show a hard watch for me. I pray they get their comeuppance.

It’s sad to see the different drilldowns go, but I’m sure you’d post them if you could. The W18-49/25-54 demos are what networks are looking at anyway, and TV industry coverage has pivoted to focusing on the important ad demos over the past 20 years or so. I think a lot of people feel peeved when they fall into a category of viewership that “doesn’t matter.” I certainly in one of those categories as a man. 😂 It would be nice to have the YOY or WOW increases/decreases, but again I understand the work that goes into those. Will these reports be archived so that enterprising readers can crunch the data themselves if they so choose?
