  1. Poor Drake. He put up with a lot of crap from DAYS, didn't he?
  2. If I didn't know any better, I'd swear Charity Rahmer was AI-generated.
  3. Which is funny, because "Reba," "Malibu Country" and "Happy's Place" all feel like the same show to me, lol.
  4. For me, it was the one-two punch of losing Laura and Lilimae (although, @DRW50 made a very good point about the writing for Lilimae often being very ugly, for lack of a better word). Julie Harris and Constance McCashin had a very natural acting style that really helped to ground the storylines. With those two gone, KL becomes, from an acting standpoint, much "soapier."
  5. That's what I loved about Laura: you never had to reach for psychotic stalkers or baby-switching doctors to give her story. Laura was neither a heroine nor a vixen, but her stories were rooted in the real and the everyday, which, to me, made her the most relatable female character on the show.
  6. All I can say is, as an overweight person, I did not find the comment funny at all.
  7. It's really a shame that Robin Mattson wasn't as successful on RH as she had been on other shows. I thought she was a wonderful addition to the cast, but hiring her as a Delia recast was just about the most bone-headed decision TPTB could've made. I think she would've been much more successful as Maggie or as a Faith recast.
  8. Hopefully, the failure of the "Frasier" revival proves the point.
  9. I'm sure Richard tried to make Laura drive a nicer, more expensive car. Laura, however, was practical almost to a fault. She likely told Richard she refused to drive such a vehicle and demanded he return it to the dealer "or else."
  10. A real shame, too, because, once you've gone as low as "Matt Houston," whose popularity still perplexes me, there's nowhere else to go but up!
  11. Ghost Lila is in Heaven. No one in Heaven requires a wheelchair, because no one in Heaven is disabled.
  12. Heck, Lucille Ball could have replaced Dame Judith Anderson as Minx Lockridge on SB and it would've been better than watching her on that godawful show. (As a matter of fact, we should start a new thread: Things We Would Have Rather Seen Lucy Do Besides 'Life with Lucy').
  13. I tend to blame her hair. Somewhere around 1980, she started wearing her hair like some real estate broker from the Midwest.
  14. LOL!! But seriously. That has to be one of the WORST theme songs I've ever heard for a sitcom. Entirely too slow and wistful sounding. A rare dud from the Witt/Thomas/Harris factory. (Your show is called "It Takes Two," for God's sake, why not get, say, Andrew Gold and Melissa Manchester to do a new arrangement of that classic Motown song of the same name?)
  15. I'll take "Cool Band Names" for $200!
  16. I still don't know whether to laugh or cuss someone out over that.
  17. I'm with Marlo: that DOES sound horrible, lol.
  18. There could even have been an episode that paid homage to "The Dark Corner," often considered her finest dramatic film, complete with a guest appearance by still-alive Mark Stevens.
  19. Whenever I see Javi or Leo, the only thought that comes to mind is, "Two more victims for the Salem Sniper!".
  20. After Andrew Kavovit, he was the best actor to portray Paul.
  21. Don't forget this short-lived series, co-starring Richard Crenna, Helen Hunt, Anthony Edwards and a very familiar-looking set (watch closely!):
  22. IIRC, "Turnabout" played a part in Sharon Gless eventually landing on "Cagney & Lacey," as C&L's co-creators, Barbara Avedon and Barbara Corday, had been story editors on "Turnabout" and wrote the part of Christine Cagney with Gless in mind.
  23. Joan Crawford filling in for her daughter on THE SECRET STORM always sounded like a Lucy-esque scenario to me. I'm just saying.
  24. Oooh, just getting her to guest-star in an episode of MSW would've been a DREAM. I would've had her play against type, too, as someone who is very shrewd and tough-as-nails, someone who's a total 180 from the usual "Lucy" persona. For instance, she could've portrayed an agent or publishing house editor who's attempting to land Jessica Fletcher as a client, and whom Jessica has a conversation with in order to get to the bottom of a mystery involving another writer.
