I shouldn't have laughed, @marceline, but you are so spot-on, I couldn't help BUT laugh, lol. IIRC, even stuff that Trump didn't handle personally or couldn't have predicted turned to [!@#$%^&*] when he won last time, too. If you ask me, this is another one of those times when God chooses to "turn His face" and allow nature to do what it's gonna. So, among other things, get ready for another, massive wave of people dying, just like all those celebs and public figures did in 2016.

I think I read somewhere a long time ago that he wrote Karen Wolek's confession on the witness stand.

I think Steve Burton has reached a point in his life where he is grateful to still be working in the industry at his age. If TPTB were to come to him and say that Jason won't be a principal driver of story anymore - that, instead, he'll take more of a back seat to his now-adult kids - I think he'd be okay with that. Not excited at the prospect of taking a more patriarchal role on the show, but content. (Provided, they don't turn Jason into Steve Hardy, lol).

That's what I've been saying, lol! People are going around saying, "He's learned a thing or two since the last time." No, he hasn't, lol! He's a malignant narcissist. Malignant narcissists never learn from their mistakes, because malignant narcissists never believe they've MADE any mistakes. And he is not the type to say, "The only thing wrong with my last administration is that I didn't hire enough yes-men," because that, too, would be an admission of failure on his part.

ALL: What are your lost soap media "holy grails" for 2025?
Fingers crossed that it's old Betamax tapes of WTHI or LIAMST episodes that someone has been keeping unawares in a closet!

So long as Martin and Tracy remain as cohorts/sparring partners, I'll be okay. If it crosses the line into an actual, romantic pairing, however..... While poor Josh Swickard is saddled with being the worst joke ever: a cop who's "shooting blanks." It's enough to make you call the REAL cops and have someone arrested.

I don't think I can bear to watch. Not just because of Alan Locher, but also because I'm too devastated by the news. Justin Deas remains one of my all-time favorite actors in this industry. As I've said on many occasions, he might have a tendency to be self-indulgent in his work, but to me, he does the one thing all actors should do: he doesn't bore you. He makes you sit up and pay attention to whatever he's doing in the scene, because he's actually ACTING - meaning, inhabiting a character, making specific choices - and not just standing there and waiting to say his next line. God, the thought of him not being around anymore, much less not acting anymore, is just too much to bear. I just hope his wife and kids are holding up okay.

I didn't know that Ellen Holly had been approached to return for OLTL's 25th. Or, if I had known, I had forgotten. That's amazing (...and kind of sad that it didn't happen, although I certainly understand why). I wonder if Holly and Lillian Hayman might've been more inclined to move over to AMC, since that had a higher profile than LOVING. AMC had a very large cast at that time, but I think they could've trimmed a few actors from the roster to make room for them.

Personally, I'm glad they made Jeff Pomerantz lose the accent. It was unconvincing and made it very hard to understand a lot of what he was saying. But I do agree that the on-air explanation for his dropping it was ridiculous. It would've been better just to have him drop it with no explanation at all, lol. I agree - but that's an argument we've had many times before on this board, lol. Didn't Paul Tulley also play that creepy guy on Y&R who was obsessed with Nikki and even brought her home to meet his "mother" (in actuality, her ashes in some urn or something)?

Breech, in particular, struck me as someone either Jack or Larry would've tried to pick up at the Regal Beagle on "Three's Company." I *think* they were going for a Spencer Tracy/Katharine Hepburn thing in those scenes, but it just landed so terribly wrong. Just looking at Shepperd Strudwick in those scenes, I don't think he gives off quite the same, patrician vibe that Ernest Graves probably did. I think he would've been better off playing Dr. Will Vernon. Jordan Charney, right, lol? Yeah, he was not right for Vinnie. You can't go from Antony Ponzini to Mr. Angelino, lol.

I haven't seen Armstrong lately. Maybe he could be GH's new Spencer Cassadine?

Good question! They'd already recast Kent once. Maybe TPTB had decided that the character wasn't worth recasting again. It's a shame, though, because Lee Godart and Susan Lucci looked incredible together on-screen. Of course, like Kelly Ripa said, Susan Lucci could share chemistry with a doorknob, lol. As for the Greg/Jenny/Jesse/Angie/Liza/Tad/Amanda/Alfred set: I seem to recall reading somewhere that Marcy Walker's decision to join SANTA BARBARA was kind of a last-minute deal that might have caught AMC off-guard, as there had been expectations that would re-sign. If she had stayed, then I do think they would've tried a Greg/Liza re-pairing, especially once Tad and Marian's affair had been exposed. Also, IIRC, they never really tried to pair anyone with Greg after the story with Sheila went bust, leaving him kind of twisting in the wind until they attempted to pair him (now played by Jack Armstrong, I think?) with Robin McCall (who, I swear, was named after the lead character in "The Equalizer," but I digress, lol). But, by that point, I think they just decided they were better off writing Greg out altogether and pairing Robin with either Tad or Matt Connolly instead.

I agree. I think AMC wanted Greg to move on from Jenny much too quickly. As a result, the story was received so negatively that I think it wound up impacting the rest of Laurence Lau's time on the show.

Too bad she didn't use LOVING to keep Richard Shoberg employed. I've got nothing good to say about Noah/Julia. It was painful watching two actors who clearly hated each other try and pretend to be in love with each other on-screen. (At least Kate Collins and James Kiberd were skillful enough to hide their mutual disgust, lol).
