  1. Exactly. Her own backstory is interesting, as we learn more about her, layer by layer. It's ridiculous for Kyle to try to paint a narrative that Sutton had nothing else to offer the show. Even Sutton's own quirks, sometimes to her detriment, like her freak-out at Magic Mike, drives story.
  2. Just go to Facebook for that... white people already calling it reverse racism because they're doing a "black soap." SMH
  3. Wow, never thought I'd see this sort of development happen. So excited for the genre and all the folks potentially involved! For creative purposes and ease of keeping up with a new soap in these modern times, I hope it's a half-hour serial, but I understand the economics behind it if it's an hour. I felt that recent EW article about Generations and the Vivica A Fox / Jonelle Allen reunion so peculiar, and in the article it mentioned the whisperings of needing a soap like Generations to be revived, and here we are. In years past, many of us here talked about how in order for soap operas to survive in this new ever-evolving landscape, we need to cut ties from some of the old dinosaurs (i.e. GL, ATWT) and start fresh, but that always seemed like wishful thinking. It's amazing to see this actually develop. In this day and age of live viewers dropping dramatically as delayed viewing and streaming become more of the norm, it's the older demo that still enjoy watching programs live as they air, be it daytime or primetime. From that viewpoint, plus the strike, plus the pandemic, it's incredible to see this renewed energy and dare I say respect that soap operas are being given in the year 2024. Can't wait to see how this all continues to develop!
  4. I'm digging Keiana after this past week. If they're looking to retool the Potomac cast, she could potentially be brought back?
  5. I don’t know what Stacy Haiduk’s natural hair color is, but I do know every hair color hue she has sported on DAYS as Kristen has always been dreadful. It never compliments her skin tone at all. I dunno, it’s just always off.
  6. Well, except for that one episode where Rhonda and Billy cure racism 😂 I just finished watching Season 1, yet again, and it's crazy how much happens in a short amount of time in the Alison/Billy/Amanda triangle in the last stretch of the season. One, because their storylines prior took longer to develop and had more character reflection, and two because the show was so heavily focused on this one single storyline, with Jake/Jo as a supporting B-story, and Jane/Michael, Rhonda, and Matt barely seen. This may or may not have already been mentioned here previously, but in the Season 2 premiere when Kimberly and Michael move into the beach house, they specifically mention it's a 1-bedroom home. Yet, seasons later there's magically a second room... for maybe Jennifer? Michael's mom? I forget the circumstances, but suddenly a second bedroom existed.
  7. RHOBH: Ooh PLEASE come home to the mothership, LVP! Yes, I'd love to see her smirking on the sidelines while Kyle and Dorit fall out. RHONY: They are STILL brainstorming next season's NuNYC cast? Good grief... Do y'all think they might do a half OG / half Newbies cast?
  8. They should've spread it out the way they did during the Covid era. To go from 4 to 1 is lopsided for viewer interest. Although personally it gives me some time to catch up on scripted shows. What's the status on NuNYC's filming?
  9. I don't think this is the most recent. It is currently gray and it's shaped like a box; no angled walls anymore.
  10. Thank you for your continued work I looked at these and am surprised the numbers for male watchers weren't higher, particularly for Y&R, whom I had once heard had around 1 million male viewers during their heydays such as this time period.
  11. Agreed. The fracture in Kyle & Dorit's friendship is the storyline for next season (hell, who knows, they're probably one step ahead in the game and planned it this way. At this point, I side-eye everything). And if Bravo sets it up and LVP is game, you know Kyle will jump at the chance for a sit-down as everyone in Bravoland wants to be the next Vanderpump Rules pop culture obsession.
  12. Sigh... always love seeing that last week of the year when everyone's off work/school.
  13. Thanks for the info and clarification
  14. Was this week in 1993 when Beth Ehlers left GL the first time? I distinctly remember an interview with her in Digest when she returned and they mentioned how when she left the show was "flying high" with a 5.7 rating but nowadays hovers around a 4.0, and I always thought a 5.7 seemed higher than usual for GL in the '93 era, save for the post-Christmas/winter snow storm highs of January/February.
  15. I have the book. They definitely had a little fun coming up with a full functioning house for many of the Salemites' residences. Was there a separate family room ever shown back in the day? Also a notable no-show is the dining room.
  16. Literally the first time I've used this. Thanks.
  17. DAYS' possession storyline got people interested, but it was the Aremid storyline that kept 'em around, hence their streak at being No. 2 from February 1996 through the end of 1997.
  18. The background image, done like OC's last reunion, gives me modern day Tonight Show with Johnny Carson vibe.
  19. So far, the guys mentioned in the shoot are Robert Scott Wilson, Christopher Sean, Eric Martsolf, Bryan Dattilo, and Paul Telfer. Sure hope Bryan got his hair cut...
  20. Well we may be getting that DAYS Peacock nudity we wondered about… or partially at least.
  21. Like a bad soap opera that's a shell of its former self, I watch The Conners because of my life-long love of Roseanne. There's lil nuggets of good stuff here 'n there. It happens. Just look at today's episode of Days of Our Lives.
  22. New soap families are always so well received (okay, the writing and backstory may've played a huge factor on the last one)
  23. There's a fire extinguisher at the top of the stairs? That's something you don't normally see in a home.
